My most meaningful gift came from my Aunt. 20 years ago my dad died 3 days after my birthday on Dec. 15th. Although I was already married, the family Christmas was just not going to be the same. My dad asked that no matter what-- Christmas should go on for our youngest son. My dad's sister who always spent the holidays with us gave me pictures of my dad when he was young(in his 20's). It was a gift that brought tears and a smile. When I look at those pictures today, it is amazing how similar in looks my oldest son looks to his grandfather. My Aunt's gift was truly the Best!!!!!

My mom has trouble with her legs. She bumped ler leg and her leg was weeping liquid(no blood). She had no more bandages left so she used the old-fashioned handyman's tool--duct tape --to stop the weeping and went to the hospital. The nurses had a big surprise and a good laugh. On a good note my mom is much better now.

A good friend believes in you when no one else does and is concerned for you. They always have a listening ear and support you when times are at their worst. They are patient, kind and their love never ends!

I met my husband in college, at an arranged make-shift football game. My room-mate's boyfriend(now my brother-in-law) invited both his brothers to play. It took over a year before my husband and I officially dated. We each dated eachother's friends, which didn't work out. Eventually he invited me to watch him play ball and go out to eat afterward and the rest is history. We have just celebrated our 24th year together!!

Our family likes Kraft mac and cheese as it is. We pair it up with other courses like a meat and other vegetables.

I would love to try Ritz Crackerfuls. Thy seem to be a nutricious, healthy snack with both cheese and whole grain crackers. My family and I have used Ritz crackers in the past and love them. I would think Ritz Crackerfuls would be the same high quality in a ready made snack. I love trying new foods and giving my opinion. I have never tried these snack crackers before, but have seen them in our local store. I would be honored to be a tester.

My goal is to get to the Smithsonian to view the museum exhibits.  i think it is an attainable goal and i hope to someday take a tour  with a group and my husband, before I'm retired and after my kids have left the house.  To go about doing it is to price shop around and keep putting away money in our rainy day account.  I also hope I can help my husband attain his goal of seeing Alaska in this same manner.

Our family is doing a few things together like a ball game, camping and state fair.  The main part is doing something fun together even if it is not a lot of things--it is quality time that makes the best memories!

I'm not the best cook so deli is my favorite way to go.  But if I have to grill, hamburgers, hot dogs, shrimp or pork chops.  Corn on the cob grilled is the best along with grilled potato slices with onions done in foil. Top it off with a nice cocktail or two and it is a great meal for the 4th of July.

Thanks for writing the other day! Happy Mother's Day today!!! I'm not sure what I got from my sons. My husband was very generous. I got a braceletwith the saying from our wedding, a beautiful heart necklace, two toned purple petunias in a basket, a white top, and a family pack of tickets to see the Brewers in July that included 4 pink Brewer caps(part of the proceeds go to breast cancer awareness). We are supposed to go out to eat for supper with my husband's side of the family--if my husband is feeling better-(a bad cold). My 18 year old was sick on Monday. I was sick on Thurs. and Fri. Yesterday was gift running errand day and wash(that never ends-ha ha). As for the picture thing I'm not real sure how to even get the tiny pictures up. My 18 year old has a digital camera but lost the cord to link it to the computer to put pictures up. They would have to show me what do do I guess. So, what do you do? Tell me a little more about yourself and family. I'm a certified teacher working as an aide. I teach individualized reading to at risk 1st graders, computer classes to grades 1 and 2. library classes to grades 1-4. After school art for grades 3-6. I am a librarian fot the rest of the day at a school that has eary childhood to grade 8 and on Mondays I help at the high school library for half a day. I get to do other aide jobs like recess duty. I've had to sub at times for teachers out sick. My husband is a team leader in the fab. department. My 22 year old works under my husband. My youngest was a welder and got laid off because he was only working part time. They all work at Miller St. Nazianz which makde farm equipment but is now making sprayers and baggers. Millers is very slow right now. The guys work 30 hours and have 2 weeks lay off. I will do summer school till the end of June. As an aide we don't get paid for July or Aug. Not cool!!! I am currently working on a recertification class. As a teacher we need 6 credits every 5 years. At around $500 dollars for 3 credits it is pricey and another $100 to submit documentation to DPI it is not fun on an aide's salary. I do love the kids so it is all worth it in the end. I used to teach at a parochial school -4-5th graders for 9 years and 5-6th graders for 3 years. The enrollment declined and schools merged so I went to the public school where I student taught. I've been here for 12 years.
We live in the country surrounded by relatives on my husband's side. Can't get away with anything(LOL), but everyone does watch out for eachother. I am an only child. My father died 19 years ago. My mother was 18 years younger than my dad. I was born before they married . In the 60's that was not cool. My mom's side of the family has a hard time letting that go. My mom is 67 and has a lot of health problems. We generally have an awkward relationship. She isn't very nice and speaks her mind. She just came home 2 weeks ago from the nursing home--was hospitalized twice in the last 2 months for falling and bleeding internally and infection in her foot that required surgery and congestive heart failure. Right now she is mad that I called the ambulance twice and now she has to pay for it. She thinks she should need no help from anyone and told me to "get the hell out and don't come back". It was hurtful especially since we visited at least every other day for the two months, every day for the 2 weeks she was in the hospital and did her nursing home wash, checked the house, did her taxes, bought her stuff she'd need for her return home...I literally got physically sick. Mom has diabetes, bad heart, bad legs, and allergies to numerous to list. Right now she can't even go up and down stairs. Oh well enough complaining. That's a synopsis of my life. My hobbies include reading, freebies(that's how I heard about gather through bzzagent) camping, and doing things with my family when possible. Oh --my oldest son gave me a $50 Walmart pink gift card !!!

I would like to take part in the 8 glasses a day challenge to work at a healthy routine and I would be intersted in trying Crystal light and taking part in the survey comment portion. I feel I'd be a good reviewer and I think the challenge is attainable for me to do.

I unwind at lunch by talking to my friends. I get a 30 minute break from noon to 12:30.
