Thank you - you brought back good memories since Brookline is my old college stomping grounds. I miss the area. Some of my favorite places have long since gone out of business (I used to work at George's Folly in Coolidge Corner) but I'd love to go back to visit some day.

I love to browse etsy. There's so much creativity and imagination there! Someday, I'll list my own stuff, but I love to look and buy from there. They also have craft supplies too.

Sometimes they're also just people who stockpile stuff using coupons (and they're not dangerous)... Guess you just need to try and learn something about the people you buy from. Thanks for the warning though.

I think its a great job. Don't take it apart! Just add a small bit of chain to extend the length of the collar. No one will know that you didn't do it on purpose. A typical extender is about 2 inches, but I've seen them longer (like 3). You just need a jump ring, some large loop chain (large enough to hook your clasp to) and another jump ring on the end. Good luck and I think you did a terrific job. I wish I had the patience (or eyesight) to do that!

I do this too - it's a great program. It used to be better because they used to give you the coupons on the spot. The check is nice, but I used to like to donate the coupons to my school programs... They didn't have a limit in the past either.

Just move forward and remember how awful you felt after that. Maybe that will help the next time you get that kind of a craving. I find myself doing the same thing sometimes. When I find one or two things not satisfying me, I need to get out the house or involved in something that takes my mind off food. I take a walk or garden or do my hobby. Usually I NEED to get out of the house, or I will do some serious damage...

I just started my garden too. I mostly start from seedlings. It seems like it takes too long for a tomato seedling to appear. You might want to try using the pit of something you eat (an avocado or pepper) to show your kids how you can grow food directly from food waste. My kids love growing avocado plants (even though we'll never get an avocado from them).

I've got a dozen tomatoes started, plus some zucchini seedlings. Also, some basil because I love that with my tomatoes. Planted catnip in pots for the kitties. I also bought some of those 'topsy turvy' planters that grow tomatoes upside down. I'm dying to see if that works. I've also added color to my planting beds and trimmed back the rosemary and lavendar. I love this time of the year and can't wait for everything to start growing!! I'll do more this weekend.

i have the same problem - but I love magazines. I read them and pass them on almost immediately. I try to find a friend or two that have the same interests and as soon as they're read, they're out the door. Sometimes they're out the door even before they're read, but if I don't do that, they pile up. I have too many piles already
