I would love to be the host of THE AMAZING RACE so I could go all over the world and see exotic places.

My other dream job would be to own and work in a scrapbook store with a small cafe.

I have to agree with you Liz.
I was never really "politically active" before last year, but to see my country crumbling from the bottom up has changed all that.

You don't have to sit back and "wait and see" what happens, YOU can begin to MAKE better things happen, RIGHT NOW....

Find a candidate for congress or senate that supports the constitution and a smaller government, someone you feel would be great for the job, and stand behind them, doing what you can to help them get elected to the position.

I am an introverted shy person, but I can't just sit back and let what is happening continue... so I found someone who will make a great congressman, and I am supporting him, hoping to work as much as I possbily can to get him elected to the position of congressman.
I have to set my shyness aside to stand up for what I believe in.

Another reason it can't be the woman thing...
Our governor here in Michigan is a woman..... and we have been in a downward spiral ever since she took over-- going from good surplus and low unemployment rates to large debt, closing prisons and releasing prisoners early, and over 15% unemployment rates.
There are currently more state employees in the state of michigan than regular residents!

being a female myself, I have to second what Col. George said.
If hubby's paying for dinner it's fancy sitdown, but if it's coming out of my "fun money" we go to McD's. LOL.

I quit when I was 16 (started at 13) because my daddy died from smoking so me and mom quit cold turkey and never had one since.
(~that was 1985~!)

My friend actually USED this stuff to quit. It worked well except she had VERY STRANGE dreams at night and remembered all the vivid details. Nothing scary just really weird stuff. She usually didn't remember her dreams so that made it even stranger.
She has been smoke free for about 4 months now, so it worked and she no longer uses any meds.
But you are right sometimes a cure for something can be worse than the problem itself.
My son has OCD and one of the meds they tried on him made him gain 40 pounds in 3 weeks! It was heartbreaking (he was only 12) when he came out of his room crying that none of his clothes fit anymore. Thankfully there were other meds we could use instead so we switched and he lost the weight but it took about 6 months.
It was scary for me, too, seeing him that way because my mother is what is known in the medical world as morbidly obese and it has basically ruined her life and I was scared that could happen to my son. Thankfully he is back to what is considered "normal" on the weight scale now.

you didn't finish your homework....
the tree you are describing here is the one OUTSIDE the capital....
Arizona was in fact chose this year to provide the ornaments for it.

There are also trees INSIDE the white house, one of the has the Mao ornament hanging on it that was designed by one Simon Doonan from Barneys of New York.

The fact is HE LIED about it.

His whole campaign and subsequent time as POTUS has all been based on lies.

What Laura Bush had on the tree were ornaments commemorating our beautiful National Parks in America (SEE ABOUT IT HERE) and having an ornament of Mao are two VERY different things.

Over the years Obama has hung out with terrorists and socialists, hired them into his current administration and now he has one on the tree, I for one am not at ALL surprised, it's certainly well within his character.
I'm sure there are ones of Pinnochio and Hitler on there, too, somewhere, since they also share common characteristics.

I wonder if the little children who thanked my nephew on a daily basis for fighting that war were fake too??

I wonder if the women who talked to him with smiles on their faces because they didn't feel oppressed were fake??

Or the men, who were no longer in hiding for fear of Saddam's regime and shook hands with my nephew and gave him hugs and were extrememly grateful that they could now get a job and work to support their families instead of hiding for fear of their lives..... were they fake too???

Isn't it amazing how many fake people took it upon themselves to thank him, an American soldier, for being there???

actually he claimed to Christian when I saw him talk on TV during the elections... he fully denied being a Muslim at that time.
There were many Christians who voted for him who are now experiencing extreme voter's remorse.
Unfortunately, once you bought the property you can't sell it back.

I did a WHOLE POST about the REPUBS bill, which BTW, the CBO said was BETTER than the dems bill, but the dems refused to even look at it.

Not only that but did they ever bother to ASK any of us if we wanted what they are offering?
we are without insurance but we don't WANT their idea of "insurance."
Once my hubby gets his degree and climbs back up the ladder where he once was, we'll have insurance. Until then we're doing fine paying out of pocket without it.
Why oh why would I want to spend gazzions that my great grandchildren will have to pay for? What will they be going without, so that people today could have a substandard form of healthcare for all?

Yanno, If we ran our households like the senators and congressmen are running the country, we'd ALL be in prison for fraud and theft.

Our Attorney General Mike Cox has already begun proceedings to persue the fact that Michigan should NOT have to cover for Nebraska in the medicare scheme.
I'm glad we at least have SOMEONE in authority in Michgan who will do what is right, our darn governor is sinking the state like a deadweight.

The QUALITY of medical care in our country FAR EXCEEDS that in others.
I LIVED in a country with "universal healthcare."

I watched a beautiful young woman wait MONTHS for treatment, only to be told when she finally was able to see a doctor "sorry, there's nothing we can do for you, it's too late."
Had she lived HERE in America, she'd probably be alive today.

I have NO insurance but I still see my doctor on a regular basis. I have a medical problem and I need frequent blood tests and other tests done.
I am on medication.

If I need to see my doctor, I can see him right away. I don't suffer in pain, and I don't need to wait days, weeks, months, I can usually make an appointment same day or for early the next morning. If I need a test done he will get me in within a week for the test, usually earlier.
I get better care than I would receive in ANY OTHER COUNTRY.
My friend waiting weeks to see her GP, then MONTHS to see oncology specialists to be told "sorry, it's too late" and be given pain pills and sent home to die.
NO REASON for it. UNACCEPTABLE. It would not have happened in America before, but after this health "plan" takes over, it certainly will.
