lmao - you are right! I don't know too much about any of their lives but when I was referring to Lorie Morgan - I just liked the tone of her voice - it was different - now, I do remember about Keith - had forgotten that part...so much goes on when you live in three different places, I'm surprised, I know my own self in the mirror! Sistah Elle' - I realize that many of the steps on here will be difficult and challenging - but sometimes we have to remind ourselves of our positive attributes. I can relate to many of these qualities - Many of us will read these and be reminded that there are things about ourselves that we need to work on - so by bringing out the best in ourselves, we'll be helping others to be better folks - I know that I have problems being forgiving but am working on this and I thank you for the reminder. It's a wonderful personality trait as are all the ones you've chosen. Thank you and again, welcome to the Fall Session of Shedding Light. Salud

I agree for sure - who was Lorrie Morgan married to? Not Kershaw huh? Yes, I've heard many singers in small clubs in the most unlikely places - and anyone who sings is sooo lucky as I can't carry a tune in a bucket - hope I come back as a canary next life - one who sings! thanks sistah. Salud

I had no clue that Mickey was that old! We have a mickey lamp that sits on top of the fridge - it's been there for years - at night, mama said turn on the mickey. I didn't realize that she probably loved mickey when she was a kid (in Venezuela) I'm sure he made it there on some kind of film - she was born in 1919 so would have been 9 years old...love this Stacey - what a great post - Thank you! It made my day...Salud

This was an incredible journey- I have never seen so many various cloud formations and I am so into clouds - I love them and feel like I do when I snorkle - another world that I can be part of and all it takes is to watch the sky - love it and now, you've enlightened me to something else and I will have to check out "Birds" ! I do live with my head in the clouds...it's a good place to be most of the time. Thanks you Sistah and this gives me inspiration for one of the Shedding Light Waves!!! hugs, Salud

I like a house where it's ok to have a mess. I like order but interesting women rarely have orderly houses - my favorite houses are filled with clutter, books, animals and original art from all sources! Salud

Stacey I went through a wierd little period this summer - wild dog packs in my yard and then this - yes, it was a big deal and I made sure it was a big deal because I felt that the police should have warned all women living alone to this possible sexual predator. I wrote a letter to the chief but she never replied back. I was aggravated for sure but I did my own warnings. I think it was someone new in town who lives in some apartments near mama's house. Not sure if they're living there anymore. Salud

Monica - in my sleep state, I thought the fool was stealing my ladder - lol...that's my first thought but only afterward did I realize what his motives probably were at 3:30 in the morning! That's when crimes happen between 3:30 and 4:30. Salud

Monica - yes, three and I was a tiny three - but always very indepedent and learned to read then too - but it was a great kindergarten and my brother was there as well and so I learned quite a bit - I started school barely five but the teacher decided I was too immature for first grade - actually, I was just shy and hung around with my brother al the time - so I got out and started at a normal age - 6...thanks for dropping by! Salud

Sistah - in our paper this morning, they're saying that if you go on Facebook and Twitter, they'll tell you what's what and which stores will have the best values - that way you can avoid crowds - it seems there won't be many deals except a few places will be giving good deals 50% on laptops and GPS - things like that...I do need a flatscreen TV though...we'll see - thanks for all this info! I remember years ago, a friend of mine's dad was a minister. When I ate there, he asked everyone at the table to say grace one at a time! I think that was nice. Salud

Sistah this was beautiful and I think it's so wonderful that you all hold hands and say grace no matter where you are. I wish I could say that we say the grace but even though we are very grateful for everything - we often just say thank you Lord and that's it - then figure out what we're going to watch on TV - we should have never made a bar and put the TV on the kithen nook table - we used to sit and eat by candlelight - humble as it was, it made mealtime very special.
Thank you for this beautiful post reminding all of us of the beauty of saying grace. Salud
