I think I have something under 10.00-after many years. Part of the premise is that you use credit cards for groceries, and I don't usually do that.

I liked Charlie Sheen as an actor until he started the two and a half men show. Anytime I have flicked across it looking for something to watch, the things he has portrayed on that show have been more like half a man-more like a teenage adolescent.

I live in Northern Oklahoma, and they shut down the place where I work late in the afternoon Christmas Eve. Extremely high winds made the snow drift across the highway, so it was an interesting ride home dodging the snowdrifts. Although I am from Oklahoma, I lived in Indiana for over 25 years until last spring, so I am used to driving in these conditions. Glad to know that this is Oklahoma, and today the sun was out and it started melting the snow a little.

This year was my cat's first snow, as it is his first year of life. It's always a thrill seeing thier first reaction. The first night my cat couldn't decide if he wanted to stay in or go out. The second night he was off and running-at least by his tracks I knew which direction he went.

Where I live, across town could take 5-10 minutes-it's probably a little longer where you live. Glad to hear your kid was there for your Christmas.

Sounds like the north and the south have switched places. The snow you describe is what Oklahoma usually gets-all winter long. Thanks for keeping trying until you were able to comment. Those computer glitches can be very frustrating!

Been there, done that. Lots of work and sawdust, but your beautiful floor is worth it. Three layers of linoleum? That's unbelevable. Don't see how that came out level at all!

You are thinking very positive, especially since you live in Michigan, and I know very well how much snow and other fun stuff you can expect between now and spring, especially in February.

People who can afford to go shopping on Black Friday should feel truly blessed that they have the money to go shopping with-I don't. I have been one of the retailer/convenience store clerks that you describe, and you describe our situation perfectly. Now I am in customer service by telephone in a call center-and every day is like black friday, because, cloaked by the anonymity of the phone, some customers put on their worst behavior, yelling at me because their bills are so high, demaning things removed from their bills for no reason other than they want them removed, yelling at me if I don't, and talking down to me.
