Ok Glome, I just signed & so did my grandaughter (she's also a parent), & we both signed up for email distribution. God's blessings to us all.

I too,spanked my children when they needed it, I don't think the gov. knows more than God who said " spare the rod & spoil the child " He also said " beat your child with a rod & he will not hate you " ( though I can't quote the passage at this moment , I will try to find it again & get back to you.) I raised my children & then 4 of my grandchildren & they do not hate me, they learned respect, compassion & how to be considerate of others. They are not perfect, as none of us are, but they know good from bad & right from wrong & most always choose the right path.
The gov. has NO valid right to interfere with how we raise our children unless the child is being abused and/or neglected

WOW !! I just read EVERY comment above & I can't believe sooooo many people are UNhappy with ANY comment generated. True, I know a lot of comments left on my posts, poems , were not read by the commentor, but it was a comment. If someone leaves me an unfavorable comment, that comment has helped us both to some extent. I don't really mind if it is a copy & paste, though I genuinely appreciate a thoughtful response that tells me my content was actually read I also need & appreciate the points generated by any comment.
I try very hard to leave genuine comments to the content I see & read. I read EVERY one I click on. If the picture is blurry or pixelated there's not much you can say because you can't really see it but I never visit a site & NOT leave a comment . I feel like " I'm here it's a waste of my time & effort to leave without commenting",so then the comments are usually 'nice' ,or, good one ',or,thx for sharing', etc...Sometimes , I'm in a hurry or I don't particularly like the content, still I will leave a pleasant or humorous comment (often a feeble attempt ). I also just learned yesterday, how to copy & paste the graphics for the points groups that I am a member of. I will stop using them if they are considered offensive, ( darn it ),however the only place I used them were on the list of names within the groups that signed up for them. I noticed a couple of names above that are members
of one or more of these groups that are some of the ones also complaining about generic comments. I'm soooo confused now , do the people who signed up for the comments groups want comments or not ?
I truely enjoy my gather pals & all the content I'm able to view,but I'm now very nervous about my comments offending someone because I said 'nice pic' when I either didn't really like it or couldn't see it or was in a hurry or .............
