WTG! That is nothing to sneeze at! I also gained weight on my already "fluffy" body from some heavy duty medications and now struggling to loose weight. So far, I have lost 25 lbs and need to loose 20 more to get to the weight I was prior to the medication. It's hard but not impossible.

I agree with the scale analogy. Each must weight their own pros and cons. A side note, I always get a flu shot each and every year. My husband flat-out refuses to get the flu shot.

Randy, Thanks for the comment and that is a great question. The flu test is a swab test done on the nasal cavity [I thought they were touching my brain ... LOL]. The test swab is mixed with a solution and put into a pad that has 3 readings. Flu A, Flu B and negative. One of the flu readings is the seasonal flu, the other is the flu in which H1N1 falls. Since H1N1 is the virus that is most prevalent, they consider it a positive for H1N1, though it cannot be confirmed without further tests.

BTW ... insist on a flu test. It is simple and only takes 15 minutes. I didn't insist but they gave it to me anyway.

Marsha my first symptoms where that I was extremely tired and had body aches, especially my butt and hips. The fever and cough did not start for a few days. My doctor seems to think my daughter might have had the swine flu. She never had a fever but he said some are just getting mild cases. Mine was worse for some unknown reason.
