Just waiting for them to pull in, they are driving down from N. Mn....spending the day with us and night, leaving tomorrow to see her partners' parents in Chicago...then they are going to disneyland and then off to Switzerland, getting married.....one week vac. there then off to Africa for two years at the least.

I know, I know..I only hit the spot once a day, throw garbage up and run away.....but getting ready to say bye bye to my daughter.....she is leaving in two weeks and only got one day with her..woot...

Hannah, he Isn't getting the treatment...no insurance avail. That is why I said I can't wait for it to go through. There are days he can't get up and we have to help him....and then to top it off this past weekend we got stranded at the bottm of a hill and he had to help push cars up it. (my last post) yesterday he was on the couch all day, in tears he was hurting so bad.

What city you live in..I would check as my friend in Texas got her mail delivered just fine and they got snow.

We always got our mail, even up in Northern MN in the middle of the country with 46 degree below zero (no windchill), three feet of snow and can't see your hand in front of your face..our mail lady always delivered...it be sometimes not till 7 at night she get to us, bt she did, right to our door (but that was because she knew she could come in for a hot cup of coffee before she finished up....we became good friends within a year....she delivered to everyone in the country only, farm houses, middle of nowhere places (like ours)......and everyone treated her like gold....good old fashion care about your neighbors up there, not like city folks who think a quarter of inch of snow is a blizzard..lol)

Isn't your "insurance" through the state? I know ours is like this, it isn't federal but state ran. Ours is horrid, there is a five year waiting list for those without children. It costs 60.00 to enroll for each individual.
I was on the state insurance when I was pregnant over 20 years back, I was high risk, and at tht time welfare was still around. (our state does not have welfare anymore) I wasn't on the welfare program jst the medical....but we paid that back, 10 percent of the overall bill...it took us 14 years.
We are hoping that with the change of a fed. medical system instead of state by state one, that we can actually get help eventually. It be nice to see my husband finally get his back surgery before he ends up crippled.

You can still watch some tv programs via online at hulu.com , legal and no commercials...

This household cannot live without our tv. Two adult men who watch football, basketball, races, outdoor channels (fishing and hunting)...and me, House and Dollhouse I never miss, and my movie channels. Plus, news and weather channel is on in the kitchen at all times, day and night....we get bad storms here because of the lake...that tv can even run on batteries...after living in the country for the past few years, we learned tht the weather channel can be a life saver.

Do you know what King has on his tree? Or Anne Rice? Or how about Koonitz?

Who says what has to be on a tree? You? and what right do YOU have to say what is on My Tree..In my Home...that I pay for?

It is MY HOME, Not Yours.
Christmas to You is a celebration of christ, not mine and not thousands of others...so maybe your tree would be offensive to me and others, ever think of that?
Two way street, open minds and open hearts...something you seem to not have. Your mind seems to be quite closed to anyone different than you, your heart is closed to any Human who doesn't follow your train of thoughts.
You wonder why people come down on you about things as such...because your statements come out as above...and what does vampires have to do anything with what I stated? Because I have a 500.00 vampire topper made by an artist as a gift last year?
Do you seriously think that everyone in the world has a tree like yours? Cripes, the tree in my living area has antique balls from my mother in law, blinking lights and tinsel, the topping is a 50 yr. old angel...but I doubt you have any of what I have...my neighbors tree is all nature made items only, no manmade items...doubt you have that either.

Get off your high horse and remember, not everyone is Marilyn and her closed eyes...everyone is unique and let them be happy with what they deem fit.

Well, don't come and look at my second tree. I have a trad. tree in the living area surrounded with gifts and Santa ornaments...but my second tree in the kitchen, it has black lights, skulls, ornaments from Nightmare before Xmas, orange garland, a vampire for the topper and ornaments made from artist friends of mine displaying Freddy, Myers, Chuckie and all the other famous monsters...
Must make me a "gasp" satanist or something in Marilyns eyes....

Doing something right? I can name a few.
Expanding on Unemployment. Without the recent signing (last week) thousands of people would have lost thier unemployment. Quite a few from when Bush was still in office.
Obama got pissed off with WI government for not paying unemployment to those who had to extend their unemployment...they were six weeks behind, those who were waiting, are just now getting their checks.
jWithout Obama signing a bill for the right of renters via foreclosed homes, most of those people would have no place to live. The bill is for renters who landlords whose homes are sold...giving renters three extra months to live in the home if needed. lock and key program (if renters have to move out, the bank or new owner has to pay the renters to move, rentwise/security deposit for new place and moving expenses.)...before that, the sheriff could show up at your home, and throw your butt into the streets...literally...and take all your possessions and put into storage.
Yep...he did right...but people dont want to see any further than the end of their nose.
