Rachel... Is this an "ornamental-type" Light House [as opposed to "functional"] in a Park setting? Is it an accessible "observation tower"?

I'm wondering if this is FANTASY or REALITY...? DREAM IT.... PLAN IT... DO IT!
I DID..... "When you see the Southern Cross for the first time, then you'll
understand why you came this way"..... on the maiden voyage of a splendid
British ship.. Outward Bound>> San Francisco, Hawaii, Western Samoa, Fiji..
and on to the "Land of The Long White Cloud"... for a year... In my "Wildest
Dreams"... I am sailing there once more....

I just received this Email from my cousin Donna in Oklahoma >>>
" Bill we can watch them (more than one) climb up the shepherds hook and onto the feeder. It's the feeder that is squirrel proof, their weight causes the opening to close; but somehow this one squirrel gets low and holds up the door from closing completely and then he feasts and shares his bounty. Ken can adjust the weight to keep him out completely; but then larger heavier birds won't be able to eat up there. The Doves prefer the ground anyway and clean up underneath the feeder. I guess the Cardinals are the largest birds that eat there regularly. I enjoy watching the antics of the squirrels and birds and would hate to not have them close to the house. With a new clearer window I should be able to get better pictures; at least that is what I am hoping for.

A logical question to my cousin Donna [4:45PM-- 12/8/08 ... the F.B.I never sleeps]:
" I notice some tree twigs [branch ends] in the upper left hand corner of your photo.
How far away are they from the BIRD FEEDER... If this squirrel has "Flying
Squirrel" talent... could he possibly make a FLYING LEAP.. and either latch on to the curved iron support or the bird feeder itself???

Afternoon Barbary. You and Marianne are probably on a "good course" with regard
to this Experience of mine.. However, keep tuned because I will be using the METHOD
in nuimber 2 more succintly and, perhaps, appropriately in the near future....
Actually, I remain quite dissatisfied with my description/wording.. and it won't be until
that first paddling day next spring.. when I arrive at the "SPOT".. and sit there..and ponder
how to better express what I felt when I saw "My Hidden Treasure" for that first time...

Marianne --- a thoughtful perception... and, actually...., it reflects my own experience
out on the water on that day..being in just the right place.. and happening to glance into that small "spot" from a considerable distance away.... What I saw just JUMPED out at me.
A totally UNEXPECTED DISCOVERY, for me, on one of my "main traveled [water] roads"...

MommaCat and Frannie would seem to be kindred long-distance
cousins... MommaCat has taken over
my chair in my bedroom.. It is now HER bed-chair!!
MommaCat gives me this feet-up "treatment" .. when she wants special
