Wow, Barbara! You must be so proud of her! Speaking of down syndrome, I have a daughter that is 28 & develomently delayed. At birth she was deaf. We did not know untill she went to kindergarden. The doctors said her ear canals were blocked with scar tissue & we had to have tubes inserted in her ears to open up her hearing abilitly. Now at the mind level of 7-13 years of age, being in nursing for 22 years I have always thought I could care for her & teach her to live independently. She is now doing very well with my help & up keep. I am gald we are friends.. very interesing points of view. Judy

I know. I could not believe it. I am a IP after 23 years. It is better & I like home care but Independent providers thru the State are so great & benifits are good. Home care tends to go up & down on hours. not to secure of a job. That is why I have an internet hobbie inspired by my brother who has pancreatic cancer & on is last cycle. Judy
