Yes... we're also called "shape-shifters." My shape tends to shift mostly in the mid-section, and not for the better. That is indeed a very tall glass, and it was filled with sparkling juice! I know how to party!

(And, in case you're wondering, I canNOT explain that blotch on my semi-chrome dome... I don't have hair thick enough to do that, unless it's amplified by the flash shadow!)

I'm soooo with you on the nuclear option, especially since I was once a boy myself, so I know exactly how these guys think! And yet, I've met the guys in this group, and fortunately they seem pretty level-headed. Britta has handled things pretty well so far, but that doesn't mean I won't be keeping an eye on the situation!

That's awesome. I suppose that having two older brothers has made Britta used to "guys" and perhaps more tolerant of some of their "tendencies." Yes, I fear she is a guy magnet, though she thankfully has a level head on her shoulders. She has already had to have the "let's just be friends" conversation a time or two. She even had one guy come into the coffee shop who appeared to be around 30, and when he asked her out she had to politely explain that she was (then) only a junior in high school. Now that she's a senior, I'm really noticing how fast time is flying!

That's the "Lamp Man" (or "Ampelmann" auf Deutsche) which is a popular symbol for Berlin, kind of along the same lines as the apple is for NYC. Wikipedia: Ampelmannchen

Sorry, it isn't very clear is it! The guy on the left in the maroon shirt is a twin with the guy, 2nd from right, in the zippered gray sweatshirt. (I think they both like Britta, so this could prove very tricky...)

Yeah, we've had to deal with Xcel trashing our backyard nearly every year because our side yard is the only one among four houses in a row that they can get their equipment through. I wish they had the power lines underground like they did in Redmond. Every time there's a big storm our neighborhood loses power! Since the have the lines strung along the BACK lot line, they have to traverse the entire yard with their huge trucks to do any work. Two years ago they came in on one side of the yard, drove all the way ACROSS the back yard to the other side, and then went into the neighbor's yard to deal with her tree. Two yards completely trashed, and they take months before they get around to repairing anything. (Do I sound angry?) When they reconstructed the street a few years ago I hoped that they were going to bury the powerlines, but NOOOOO! That would make too much sense!

shouting, "lookey here, a medicinal stew!"
Her churning pot had an unearthly scent
as she started singing with great intent
"Oh You'll wonder where the itching went
when you rub your tush with calaminozent!"

But when the crew looked inside
they saw a bubbly hydrochloride
so they turned their backs, away they shied!
"No way that's gettin' near our hides!"
