It's true about the "fart" factor with beans. A way to cure that problem is soak them or rinse thoroughly with water. This takes off the coating on beans that causes flatulence. Thanks for your honesty.

I use a single serve coffee maker because it deters my over doing the volume of coffee I drink. It's nice to know details when shopping around, thanks for the info!

I would retire early at any given chance and expect to live well into my 80's but who knows what twists in life may occur? Waiting for enough money to retire on may be futile and choosing life & freedom before money [after adjusting your lifestyle] is an option. Downsizing into a livable situation with incoming retirement funds is very doable in my opinion. I agree with the other side of the coin since I see people who get extremely bored being retired with nothing to do. It seems to be reliant on your mindset before or after retirement.
