The forward you have posted is bigoted and alarmist. It is anti-Muslim (it really ticks me off when people can't see that there's a huge difference between Islamist extremists and Mulims in general) and implies that a person doesn't have the right to be proud of their roots. Quite frankly, all of America should have a non-negotiable commitment to African issues of poverty, disease, economic viability and legitimate democracy, among others.

Posts like this tell me nothing more than you or the originator somehow enjoy fear.

I actually couldn't figure out what the deal is. I've been to lots of cities where they do projects like this and companies can buy one of the things with the money going to charity and then paint it however they want and display it in front of their building. I feel like these must have been from a prior project like this and now no one knew what to do with them.

It's available now for Pre-order on Amazon.com (click the link in the article) and Powells. (It's also on B&N, but we have to fix a glitch with the release date they have listed before peopel can order). We've also had orders forit from bookstores (both majors and independents) around the country, but I couldn't tell you what where specifically.

"Interesting" is a word for it if you consider "interesting" that they also view student loan debt as an anti-dowery that harms women's marriage choices and seem to view women working outside the home as a threat to civilization. Hard to take seriously, but thanks for playing.

It totally sucks, John, but it's getting better all the time, especially as the European imports come in (celiac awareness is higher abroad, and the product selection tends to be better over there for that reason).
