"In 1981 Ron Wyatt located what he believed to be the crucifixion site of Jesus Christ. He found a square depression in the surface material, into which a cross could have been placed, along with an adjoining crevice. Ron Wyatt said that the blood of Christ ran down through that crevice and onto the Mercy Seat of the Ark of the Covenant that was hidden in a cave below."

Wyatt was a bit of a maverick (to put it nicely) and he claimed to have seen the Ark with his own eyes.  He also claimed it was / is in Jeruselem.  Wyatt died in 1999, otherwise I'm sure he would be in the middle of this latest "find" or "revelation" that is being made.  There is a Wyatt Museum in Cornersville, TN. 

It's not that cut and dried.  I would attempt to speak to the person, first.  In fact, I have done this and I was thanked.  One can't know what is going on in the other person's life. We aren't here to judge, and sometimes a kind "may I help you, ma'm?" or "Is there anything I can do to help?" means a lot.  To just jump in and call the police without even trying is judgemental and wrong. 

A lot of "child abuse" can be prevented just by offering a bit of help, either emotionally or physically.

Good article about a man I truly respected and loved.  He was great on Johnny and you're right.....after he and Johnny left, it wasn't the same. 

I believe that he also adopted a little girl.  Much was made of that adoption because of his age.  I seldom see her mentioned, though.

TLC announced this afternoon that the show will be taking "a break" until at least August 3.  After that is anyones guess.

I fully agree with Heidi.  Who would like someone to judge what is really in their hearts?  That's between them and God.  Rather than judge or speculate, maybe it would be a good time for Kate's brother to be there for her, and pray for the family instead of "dishing" on them. 

How *I* feel about Jon, Kate or the show isn't important.  How THEY feel about THEMSELVES is what's important.  I do wish them all well.

Walker, just so you know.  I just Googled this story, and YOUR Gather post is on the top (as in #1) of the list for Google.  That was FAST!!! (you're also getting a lot of hits....word of mouth, or "fingers on keyboard" does travel fast!  Good job in reporting this!

Oh, this is very VERY plausible and believable.  Also very frightening. I feel that if God wanted us to see the Ark, it would never have been hidden all of this time.  I have never felt it remained under the Temple Mount, and there was just something about Ethiopia that made it seem "real"........besides, Moses' wife was Ethiopian.  May have nothing to do with it, but still....................

My point exactly, Walker!  According to this "nut," the Ark was under the cross where Christ died, and His blood dripped on it.  I believe this guy also stated that Adam's skull was under that cross, also.  I'll look up my articles later and post the links for you or else email them.  I still want to know what he based his DNA tests on!

I'm very skeptical of this announcement.  I have always been led to believe that the Ark was to be revered unseen and that, should one lay eyes on it, that person would be struck dead.  I know this may just be "tradition" but still...........I don't know if I am that brave!

Did they say WHY, all of a sudden, the Ark of the Covenant is going to be revealed?  I do know that some nut, a few years back, claimed to have seen it, and that, through DNA testing, it was proven that it had Jesus' blood on it.  He never did say WHERE they got the DNA to test and compare, however.......

I'll have to keep an eye on this developing story.  Thanks for posting this....it's fascinating and I'll be really interested to see how it all turns out!

**Yes, folks, the above referenced kid is my one and only Tyler.........and one of the best teenagers a parent could hope for.........MOST of the time! :)  He IS very biased when it comes to his younger siblings,  however.............

Sadly, it's true.  After they announced their "separation" and the camera faded out, a screen came up that said papers were filed on Monday, June 22, 2009, in Bucks County, PA to dissolve the 10 year marriage of Jon and Kate Gosselin.

I feel for the kids, and for Jon and Kate.  I feel for any marriage that doesn't make it. 

I did say a prayer for them all.  The next few months is not going to be easy for any of them, especially the children.

I seldom watch the show; I just didn't feel the "love" that I do when I watch the Duggar's 18 and counting. 

I guess I feel that the show itself helped ruin the marriage for Jon & Kate.  He didn't like the publicity.  His mother lives the next county over from us, and we've met her through church acquaintances when my husband or son goes over to a small church there to preach.  She's a very nice woman.  Friends of ours know both Jon and Kate, and said that they are nothing like what we see on the show.  They both are very down to earth, nice and kind, yet they both have very different goals for the children.  Personally, I think there is too much criticism of both Jon and Kate, when we don't really know them and "the rest of the story."  I just really dislike passing judgement on people that I don't know.  I have done that, and then feel so badly when I realize what I've done.  Everyone deserves kindness and consideration. 

Raising children is stressful enough.  Raising so many of the same age is even more so.  Add a television show on top of that, and you have the recipe for major problems.

I know..........but I'm such a dreamer!  Especially when I was able to get that bottle of shampoo into the shower with me!  *sigh*

A-hem!  Just because I didn't make noise and yell during labor didn't mean it was easy.  Mike was by far the hardest (and scariest....remember?)  To be  honest, I equate giving birth to blowing a whole lemon out of your nostril........you were a great coach, however.
