Thanks so much, Rene! In fact, sometimes strong emotions would arise during the painting sessions when we did abstracts. Especially since the effort was to not be so taken by the thoughts that arise and want to tell you what to do, so to speak. It was indeed a kind of therapy - not that I could say anything specific about it, but I felt at the time that things were arising emotionally that needed to.

Too reminiscent of some of my plumbing experiences! Nicely written and a good warning for those who might even begin to think that the simplest plumbing home repair job is not fraught with danger! Keep it up!

Well I haven't sold any paintings anywhere, but I do sell the cards I make from them (which are almost the same as my recent paintings since I'm painting them card-size). And inexpensive too - about $1. It amazes me that one of those Papyrus cards (which admittedly are nicely done) cost $5. See my web site: www.whaleylakehomepress.com

I suppose we all go through dry spells in any endeavor. Glad you are back on track - but did you sit on a river bank (and paint?) and was that part of the renewal?

It will be up to them - they do sell some greeting cards there to help support the center, so I suppose they could sell mine too (mine are much better than the one's they have which are rather generic photos of nature).

Oh, I forgot - I have a friend in Nova Scotia - each spring the same hummingbird returns and taps on his study window announcing he or she is back from wherever it migrated during the winter. Then my friend has to rush out to the garden store to get a fuscia in flower for the hummingbird (he has about 7 hanging fuscias already but they aren't yet in flower when the hummingbird arrives). True, believe it or not!

Hummingbirds are amazing - at the Desert Museum outside of Tucson (and I'm sure other places as well) you can walk into a humming bird aviary full of many, many species of hummingfirds. So many of them fly within inches of you, curiosuly checking you out!
