I am no fan of McCain, but wow, this is apples and oranges.

We have no idea what went on in John McCain's marriage 30 years ago. After 5 years as a PoW, who knows what kind of rifts may have formed in their relationship.

We have to stop forgiving the adultery part of this. Whenever this happens, people just blow it off "oh well, they all do this now."

No, they don't.

It is not too much to expect that in our country of 300+ million we can find 537 people who can manage not to cheat on their spouse.

Until we start holding these people to a higher standard, they will continue to cheat and disappoint us.
