So totally agree with you. Right now we are paying a huge amount of our income for taxes. We could just as well not work for part of the year and come out ahead.

The Nov. 30th issue of Forbes magazine has an article called Useless Medicine which lists hightech imaging, angioplasty and stents, back pain treatments, investigation of fainting spells, costly mental health treatments and knee arthroscopy in arthritis as just money down the drain. Lets see if these things are soon going to be termed unnecessary.
