What you say concerning low calorie diets is spot on the money. You have more people on these type of diets these days and yet our society is larger. Go back 30, 40,50 years when no body even contemplated calories, cooked in lard etc, but were far more active. In those days being over weight was not the norm.

So as you point out keeping your weight down through calorie counting is not the answer. Great article linking to a great product.
