The Democrats will unite for the presidential election. No democrat is going to vote for McCain. Some Republicans may vote for Bob Barr or Chuck Baldwin. Obama is more aligned with general Democrat ideals than McCain is aligned with general Republican ideals.

Don't be shocked if Obama wins.

The reality is that all Religions are not in cohesion. Christians believe the Bible in which Jesus said he is the only way to heaven. Muslims believe the Koran in which Mohammed said he was the true prophet of God and that Jesus was only a forerunner. These cannot peaceably co-exist as "part of the overall scheme of religion."

If you believe in one, you disagree with the other. Not everything fits into your relativism.

Please remember that he is an elected representative - not some quack on the radio. This man deserves more credit than he gets. He does well for his state and for this country by attempting to hold the American government accountable to the American constitution and Bill of Rights. What a novel idea.

Great article. I'm interested to see what happens. But I'm continue to keep my expectations low until the Federal Reserve is exposed for the defunct organization that it is. Have you ever compared the cost of oil to the value of gold?!?

The dollar is the problem but "we're Americans" and we're too proud to point the finger at ourselves.

Even though some of Hannity's takes aren't incorrect, his approach and delivery only appeals to those like him - the arrogant and continually pissed off. The fact is that the Republican party we have today has a neo-conservative ideology of bigger government, increased spending, and a worldwide empire - exact opposites upon which the party originated.

So the Republicans of today can continue to beat their chest saying they're the true Americans while laughing at the likes of Ron Paul and others who actually have real answers, tangible plans, and a willingness to step out on a limb - not just sticking to the "way we've been doing it" since Reagan.

A great point about the limited mind of man. Even though every field of science seems to change its fundamental premise every generation or so, we are still so proud to think that we have complete knowledge and understanding.

Cake batter gelato is even better. You should check it out. We have a place here called Funari's that serves gelato and I get half cake batter and half brownie batter. mmmhmmm.

It doesn't make any sense. There was an incident recently with a local city organization where a noose was left near the lockers of some blacks. There was outrage in the city for a while until it was discovered that the black workers actually placed the noose in an attempt to "expose" the racist treatment they were receiving at work. The ends did not obviously justify the means. It only baffles the mind and puts into question any like events in the future.

That's my point. They're all theories. We should encourage the youth of this nation to challenge theories and seek out their own answers. Einstein theorized that the universe was static until Hubble proved him wrong. One theory that could arise from an understanding that the universe had a finite beginning is that there is a creator. I think that this could be discussed/debated in a school setting as long as it is based on observable evidence and science. And we understand that science doesn't always weigh in 100% on every topic.

It is important to realize that Einstein created his cosmological constant because he didn't want to accept that the universe had a beginning, because he knew this would force him to accept that it was "created". So, in light of his "faith" in a static universe, he followed a wrong scientific path.

The whole point is that we, as a culture, do not know with any certainty the truth about the original of life, evolution, or global warming, so we shouldn't teach the students one way or another.

The theory of evolution is unproven and requires faith on the part of the people who consider it truth. Also, evolution does not explain the beginning of life in general, so an open forum of general discussion and critical thinking is more worthwhile than teaching the students just to accept theories as fact.

Furthermore, astronomers and physicists do not completely understand the big bang. All they really know is that the universe had a finite beginning. There are speculative theories put forth which contradict each each other on the issue of singularity. I think that the students should be made aware of the observable data (that the Hubble redshift proves that the the universe is expanding) and draw their own conclusions.

It's just like when you're on a plane and the pilot warns you that you'll be "coming upon some weather shortly". The pilot is undoubtedly referring to bad weather and not sunny skies.

Thanks Rosa - I'll keep my eyes and ears open.

I understand that the Higgs boson would be a crucial find, I just hope that the physicists and people that really understand things weigh the potential consequences and don't let hubris get in the way. It just seems so theoretical to me.
