What a good story! You parent's sure have all of the right ideas on this one. Fun should be number one, no matter the outcome, and it is wonderful that they did so well. I had a thought recently because I have a team that is really talented, as is this one it seems, what would you all think about girls playing in a boys league, if they were good enough? Would you think that is appropriate so that they have good competition or should they just stick to their own gender?

That's so excellent for her! It is such a good feeling to see someone work hard at a sport and have it pay off for them. I am a coach of a 8 year old girls soccer team and I can relate to how you are feeling. It just makes everyone happy. I recently produced a movie that is called "Kick Like a Girl" and it is about this very thing. It is an inspiring show that demonstrates just how good youth can feel about themselves from playing a sport such as soccer.
