Every other year Wings of Victory Tour stops at the airport about five miles from where i live, and I do the same thing. There is just something about the sound of those old radial engines. Of course the sound of a merlin dose the same thing.

Hey Col. Check this out. The following is copied from the The Institure for Scientific Analysis' web site :

"As of October 2009, the Institute has received several inquires regarding an August 31, 2009 article in the American Thinker. Mr. Geoffrey P. Hunt (the actual author of the article), as far as we can ascertain, is an executive in the electronics industry and a regular contributor to the American Thinker. His work has been attributed to Geoffrey P. Hunt, PhD, Senior Scientist at ISA. Please note Dr. Hunt has never written anything for the American Thinker and would appreciate any help in rectifying this case of mistaken authorship / identity."

yes it is. On the Canal and on the Sound they are used as swimming floats, and are often rigged between an anchor and a dock so they can be used as fishing platforms during salmon season.

I am sure it is not a stunt one could get away with today, but back then it was frowned on but done just the same. However, even at high tide, there is over 200 feet of clearance between deck and the water. That is what has made it a favorite departure point for suicides this last seventy some years.

Well, as he was on a one to one basis with GOD, the dialogue on the mount was probably something like:

Moses, "Gee I don't know about number five, Yahweh, this is kind of a bad neighborhood you got us wondering around in and the locals like to beat up on pacifists."

GOD: "Moses, Moses, Moses are you presenting me with the horns of a moral dilemma? Then use this as a work around: Thou shalt not kill unless I, your GOD commands it."

Moses: "Whew, that's why your GOD!"
