This is public information. I've had the desire since 1975, and just kept going. What I do is collect birthdays and bits of information and assemble it in a month and day format. Everyday is different. I've been looking for other people who do this so that I could "trade" some information...but alas...no luck. People are fasinated with the mount of information that I have been able to collect. Do you anyone who is doing this? You are never going to get people to agree on this. I've seen people get so inebriated that they could not stand by themselves. They can't even remember what they did. What ever the laws are in your state, somebody will be unhappy if it is changed. Here's my idea: If it's illegal, it's illegal. JAIL...not namby-pamby community service. Talk to a parent who just lost a child to a out of countrol drunk driver. Or a little child who doesn't have a "family" anymore.

Since they broadcast on their own channel, the monetary cost is minimal. But, what they do is "attract" people who are in stores, in people's home...and "Plant the message"...

In the spirit of "anybody can add anything to a conversation"...I research people's birthdays...I create documents (frameable) that include the famous people who share your child's birthday....and a history document that tells what happened on that day in different years. Your child's name, inserted in each, makes it a truly "Personalized" gift or addition to your scrapbook. Check my profile if your curious...

Thanks, Jan.  Hallmark (at least in my area) dosen't do it al all, anymore. They probably didn't have anywhere near what they expected to keep it going. As you know the information contained is massive...I think that you could answer just about any question concerning the "Special Day Surprise" that is chosen. Thanks for responsing...Jim
