I think it is unfair to compare Bill Clinton to Sarah Palin.
As a start, Clinton did not graduate from University of Idaho after changing 3 colleges. And, to end: It is a fact that Americans were much happier when Bill Clinton was the president.

jJack Midknight: I think your "tough love" strategy is not working at this point. Your friend may have committed suicide in front of you, but that is by no means a fair comparison to what happened to this soldier.
I do agree, there is no need for him to feel guilty for what happened. But, have you ever been at war? Have you ever experienced what these soldiers experience on a daily bases? We cannot claim to understand what is going on in these soldiers' minds and thus, we have no right to judge them.
It seems like you deal with emotional situations, by "not dealing with them". In other words, repressing your emotions and act logical, etc....
I came to this conclusion because only a "heartless" person can say and think like you do. Unfortunately you are not alone in this, you are within the majority. There are LOTS of people ignoring others' pain. You are giving yourself as an example (how you dealt with your friends suicide) and that is very arrongant of you to even share that with us. It does not matter how "you" handled the situation, you are a different person and you certainly do not know what those poor soldiers are feeling in that black cloud.
It is very easy to speak and judge this situation. However, until you experience it yourself, you cannot judge and criticize. You are not the one having to deal with the concept of violence, death, and all range of sinful actions.
Just learn to LOVE

Ron, how do you know that the most of the world wants to live in this country? Have you been following the international media news? Unfortunately, not many foreigners want to visit America or live here anymore.
Being an immigrant, either legal or illegal, is a difficult task. No one wants to leave their home and become a "second" class in a strange land. In other words, no one wants to "dislike" where they come from. But, due to unfortunately incidences, they have to do what they need to, in order to live their lives.
I am not sure if you ever lived in any of the developing (3rd world) countries but... The conditions are different.
I suggest that you try to understand other people, besides your own.

I have been in and out of the dark side as long as I remember. Unfortunately, majority of my experiences have been on the dark side, but I am willing to turn to the light.

They will not grow out of it. They will not change. They act this way due to many things.. They may be craving for attention, they may want to be "#1" no matter when or where. They need to realize that they have issues that they need to work out (like all do). I choose not to be close friends with those type of people. I actually choose to treat them very nicely (as that is what will bring them back to light), however I would always keep my guard up and never let them be close to me. Ignore those people. There are more serious problems in life.

Are we that alone and desperate to find love? Isn't it more innnocent and cute when it happens when we least expect it?
I have tried online dating... As you may have already figured, not very efficient.
I believe in self confidence and abilty to be alone until I meet my "proper fit". I dislike forcing love. When love is forced upon us, it is no longer romantic or natural.
