Hey Dex. I know a couple wee bad boys that would do the knee caps just for fun, I would ask them but it would mean going over the water to Ireland and I dont think that I am welcome there.

I spent six months in the Yemen in the late sixties just as my country's troops pulled out from fighting a war out there, I was one of the last to get out and had fought a couple of rearguard firefights and was ambushed by very good fighters in the mountains on one patrol. I always said that we would be going back someday its always been a hotbed of fanaticism.

I Think I said that only fool would say that the planet was not warming up evidence says that it is. My only problem with it is that no scientific person can agree with why. put a dozen climate change scientist's in a room and in within five minuets they will be at each others throats. the sad fact is they just dont know.

Even the scientists who are working on this subject cant agree on Global warming, so what chance does the ordinary person on the street have. And when scientists doctor there work like what the ones that are working on the assumption that it is mans foult seem to have done then there is something drastically wrong with what they think. The problem with scientists is that they might be clever people but when it comes to using common sense not many have it, its all white, or its all black and never the twain shall meet, and I should know I have been married to one for the last 38 years brilliant in the field that she worked in, but as for common sense she has none bless her, and neither have many of her working friends.

No apology for saying that I am like a pedophile then, I thought not. I am not interested in what the Netherlands use, where I come from to insinuate that a person is a pedophile is an insult to far and I would like that apology in writing on this site. If you dont like what other people write when it does not go with what you yourself think then feel free not to comment and if you do then refrain from insulting them with words like pedophile.

Wow, I have never been compared to a paedophile before; I said that some people would not agree with what I wrote but to compare me with one of those vile persons is going to far and is tantamount to slander. Perhaps the person responsible would like to apologise.

Now getting back to the debate, what said is true we have been in this state before that is why we find fossils of marine life far on the top of mountains, Volcanoes are erupting all over the world, they do spew dirt and sulphur far into our atmosphere, even in the Antarctic there are active volcanoes, one of the Hawaiian islands is continually active and has been for quite a long time, but we tend to forget about nature in our quest to stop global warming, and what I am saying we cant, its with us and its with us to stay. So we people like that last person who’s comments were insulting to me should stop sticking there noses in the preverbal sand as start to come up with ways for the continued existence of mankind, or does he want the children of our world to become extinct like the dinosaur that he seems to have tendencies towards.

Only a fool would say that there is no global warming. But we have slight problem with it, many people think that it is man that is the course of it, man is only but a slight little bit of the problem. We tend to forget that this has happened many times in the past, look at all the national parks all over the world, most of these came into being by global warming. next time you go in to a mountain range like the Rocky mountains, or the range of mountains in Alaska take alook at the top of the mountains, if the top of the mountain has a pointed peak it was below a glacier, if the mountain top has rounded appearance the mountain was below the glacier.
The glacier ground down the point of the mountain. there are lots of mountains like this, yes we are in a period of warming but we have been like this for the last few hundred years.
If no one believes me take a trip to the Colombian ice fields in Jasper park Canada, you will see the Athabasca glacier, stand in the car park of the ice station and two miles away you will see the glacier, but you will be standing on what was the glacier in 1850, walk down to the edge of the glacier and you will pass wooden stakes with the date of were the glacier was 1850, 1860, 1870 and so on until you stand at the edge of the glacier. the wooden stakes are at the same interval all the way to the edge. that glacier started to melt when there were no cars no are airplanes no refrigeration, and has continued to melt at the same rate.

We are not being told the truth about global warming not by the scientists and certainly not by Governments. The thing is you see there is big money to be made by scaring the masses, take light bulbs for instance, in Britain we cant get the old type we now have to buy the new type that are more friendly to global warming, the trouble is we now have to spend £5,50 instead of 45p, the gas and electricity bills are soring way out of control all on the back of global warming, cars have to be fitted with expensive emission controllers, and what for when there are more volcanoes erupting in the world every day of every year spewing far more sulphur and dirt into the atmosphere than anything man made.

And that brings me to one more point talking of volcanoes. Yellowstone national park is one big volcano area. There is one lake there that scientists are monitoring every day under the suffice there is a mound that keeps on growing it is ready to erupt, in fact it is past its sell by date, it can erupt tomorrow, it can erupt next week, or it can take a few more years to erupt. But when it does its goodnight North America, and the rest of the world as we know it. Its happen before and it going to happen a again, when it does we will go into an ice age like we have never seen before, I am afraid life's a cycle of events , and we should be finding ways for the survival of man instead of worrying our selves sick about something that is not our fault. Well that's my two penny's worth, there will be people that wont agree with what I have written, but it makes for a great debate.

Dan, I had so many Christmas's away from my home when I was in the forces that when I got married I swore that every Christmas would be special for my family. I spent one Christmas day and Boxing day holed up in a hide not daring to breath heavily unless my warm breath gave away my position, just concentrating on what I was doing, what a way to spend that special day. Merry Christmas to you and your family and may next year be a peaceful and prosperous one

Its just like that where I live Dan we are experiencing quite a lot of snow flurry's, down to the south of the Midlands roads are becoming blocked with snow. I have just talked to my Daughter who lives at the top end of Manchester England and the snow started to fall last night at 3am and now at 2.30pm it has just stopped, she says that the sky is still full of the white stuff, they are coming to my house on Christmas Eve, its only 50 miles away but at the moment it does not look good. You and your family have a great Christmas.
