Yes, I agree. I'm a low income family which happen to live just in the "circle" where my kids are able to attend a good school. Yet it's also a "snobby" school. Most of the kids live in nice houses and have money.
It seam's as though the school thinks everyone has money (ALL) the time. Our school will send out flyers (THE DAY BEFORE) school pictures are taken, when the money is due, or the day before a field trip when money is due, or the day before the Book fair, when kids start asking for money, the day before a special event is happening and they need money... for .... something I"m sure. I swear I've given at least a couple hundred to my daughters schools so far this year. We still have 4 more months!!!
I'm freaking out. It makes me sad when my oldest (which is in 5th grade) comes home and hates to ask, but she would like to have 5.00 for the next day because her teacher decided to buy everyone McDonalds. I flip out because I've been to McDonalds, I know it isn't 5.00 a student... Where is the other 4 dollars and change going???
It's like 3.38 the most for a happy meal for my littlest one. We go all the time. I get one and she get's one, it's like 5.00 and some change for the both of us. It breaks my heart that I have to tell her "well, I don't have it today" I'm literally living from pay check to pay check... Of corse I don't tell her this. But then she goes to school the next day and everyone is eating McDonalds... I guess I should start putting back some money for the "What if's fund" And that way I'll have some money...

Thank you for your Article. It was very eye opening. Now I"m going to sit down and write all the thing's my childrens schools ask for.. most which are "MANDATORY"

I have Angoraphobia (Where your affraid to be around a large crowd) Technally, I don't like to be around people period! I have good day's and bad days, my panic attacks usually get worse when I'm going through allot of stress in my life. :-/

We have actually we've had the windshield replaced when we first got the vehical because I noticed that very next day there was a chip in it. We ended up getting the car at dusk, and finally taking it home in the dark. We didn't notice it. So, they replaced it for free. Now, we called them and were waiting to hear back from them.

Its hard to say how I feel about it. In a way I understand why were trying to get rid of them, yet in a way their helping us out by doing all the thing's the "Lazy White Man" won't do, like Farming, Construction, Painting houses and businesses etc. I am on the fence about this... I just hate it when they all pile up in an apartment, then you see them driving around in their fancy cars that even I, a US Citizen can't afford and it just bites seeing them in their fancy "Allagator Boots" and fancy clothes... Mrrr

I know, I live in Bixby, Ok. The closest thing to me is a You guessed it (Super Wal-Mart) So, I have to shop there for almost everything! I have a Country Mart down the street but their prices are stupid. I'm always having issues with the people who work at wal-mart. Once I went through a "Self Checkout" lane and needed help. I noticed the light came on and started flashing, I had people behiend me and well, everything was run up. I was just needing to pay with a gift card. (I put money on wal-mart cards for gas and whatevers... ) So, I'm still waiting on the lady to get up from the booth thing in front of the store and I call out to her. The man next to me said "I know she heard you, she looked at you and looked back down" I said again "I need help over here" I saw her look up at me and sigh and Slooooooooooooooooowly get up and Sloooooooooooooooooowly walk to my check out stand. I explained to her the issue and she ignored me. I told her I have 77.00 left on my wal-mart gift card and she said "Uh huh, I'm sure you do" As if she was in disbelief... I'm thinking "What?" I didn't understand why I was getting that type of treatment... I didn't do anything wrong. I guess it's a lesson learned... ((( Not to take things so personally )))
Wal-Mart people are UNDER PAID and don't get HEALTH BENEFITS!!! Hmmm I'm be in a crappy mood too!!!
