This picture is fantastic! I really enjoy the dark feeling of mystery. As an interesting project, since this is a dark picture, I'd like to see what you can do with a light feeling.

Either way the pic is great. (Couldn't find the horse though).

I would have to say that a spanking is ok to be done by the parent. In general though (and this is a note to all you parents out there) it is a wonderful idea to make sure you are not angry when you do this. Anger makes the spanking harder and impares your judgement. If ever available, send the child to a quiet place, calm yourself down, and then give a spanking if you still believe it to be required.
