my friend/co-worker has this delightful food blog and just started this weeknight dinner series (quick, EASY, and delish meals that you can whip up after a long day at work...perfect for my schedule and lack of culinary talent). just tried my first recipe last night (baked penne w/ spinach and sausage) and it was a SUCCESS - and the leftovers taste even yummier today! its funny how food just tastes better if you make it yourself....

good tips! one of my fave summer salads is leafy green mix, walnuts, strawberries, bleu cheese and raspberry vinagrette. another good idea (to go off #2) is to just squeeze lemon juice over a veggie salad - its just gives it a lil kick w/o being overly sour

LOL my friends and i were JUST chatting about this!! i run uber awkwardly and in the middle of downtown chicago. In the summers most of the restaurants open up outdoor seating (one of the things i love about the city and ultimately the source of my embarassment) - cant even tell you how many diners i've probably made lose their appetites! but it's a GREAT workout - when i get around to it at least....

I never thought that I'd be a yoga fan, but it's definitely improved my flexibility and posture. Plus it gives me something that I don't get by running or working out on the elliptical.

I work out to Namaste Yoga on FitTV and there's this Dancing Shiva series (it sounds like fun and games, but man is it hard!) that I've yet to master, but I'm getting there :)
