I'm so sick of reading about this rumor. Lets talk about the real issues that matter in this election...like the economy, the environment, health care, the war, freedom of speech, individual rights and an on and on the list goes.

It bugged me the way they passed the baby around, like they didn't know what to do with the child. And maybe that's the point. I also felt like her whole speech was so scripted that it removed her personality. I tried with an open mind to listen for fresh ideas and sources of inspiration. But I found none, which wasn't surprising. She reminded me of a fill-in doing the weather report, the one who forgets to tell us about a storm, though it's reflected in her eyes. Scrary stuff.

I noticed that too. I think that's their plan, that and propagandizing. I hate saying that. I want to believe that there are two plans for running this country and that maybe one day the other side will talk about issues and answer direct questions. I've always tried to see two sides as half of my business clients and family have opposing views, at least in the past they did. Lately, everyone is talking politics and more are surprising me by expressing outrage. So maybe there is hope.

Very scary. I've become a political news junky waiting for the issues to be discussed, not just more propanda on the side of the RNC. I think back fondly to the time when I was politically active back in college. My republican and democratic friends partied together. We openly discussed issues. Sometimes I voted on the other side and visa versa. But the past eight years that kind of dialogue has fallen by the way side. We need more of it if we're going to have a democracy.

Obama has a solid plan and the intellectual capacity to make tough decisions. One of the things that's impressed me from day one is his triumph and his intelligence. If you have the brains and drive go for it. I just don't see this in Palin at all. Plus, her issues scare me.

Thanks. I am worried for our future, but also hopeful that we can do something. I wrote it while thinking back to my memories of the gas lines as a child. I remember someone got shot in line for gas with a beebee gun and that image just stayed with me.

The picture was taken at Sevastopol, Bulgaria. I couldn't believe how beautiful it was. I love the mix of ancient ruins and the inviting sea.

Absolutely fascinating. Alice Hoffman wrote a book, Second Nature, about a man raised by wolves that tries to integrate with civilization. The book questioned what it means to be civilized and human.

I also respect and admire many talented writers who are with small presses, ebook/POD and many who have self-published. I'm thankful there are so many ways to get published todays and that writers who really love writing can have their books out there.

I do agree with several points in this article but think it's a bit harsh towards internet publishing. If an author wants to go with an ebook/POD publisher it is their perogative. It does not mean the publisher is not credible, hard working or decent.

Yes, I've given books away for reviews. Sadly, many people agree to review a book and don't bother. Now I'll give the ebook version away for review, but not the paperback.
