Bouchercon is huge and run by a non-profit group of volunteers. There are several similar smaller conventions, from Killer Nashville in TN to New England Crime Bake in Mass to Magna Cum Murder in Muncie. Google "mystery convention" and you'll find probably 20 of them scattered around the country and they're all great fun!
