I would have to agree that it is just a phase. I would say that she is taking off her clothes as a way to either establish control over some important aspect of her life or to get attention, or maybe both. I would try allowing and even ignoring her disrobing rather than fighting it. I think this will make her feel like it isn't an important issue and she'll loose interest.

I would also try letting her establish some control over her clothing in a more constructive way, like letting her pick out her own outfits. No matter what absurd ensemble she decides on, its better than naked, right? If she picks out her own clothes, then she'll have a sense of ownership and pride in her outfit and she will probably be less inclined to discard it.

But what do I know? I usually at least Porky Pig it when I am alone at home and have been known to loose the occasional garment in public after a couple stiff drinks.

Nanci, I understand the concept of federalism, but thanks for the refresher. Regardless, I don't agree that dissolving the department of education and leaving it up to the individual states whether of not to provide a primary education for the public is a very productive idea for the country. As a nation, our education system is dismal. I don't see dissolving federal regulation of education as helping. With that dissolution, you are taking federal aid with it, leaving already impoverished school systems in certain states even less capable of functioning.

I am a democrat, but i like some aspects of Ron Paul. He's a libertarian and I am from a strong libertarian state. He favors very little government interference.

He has a good stance of foreign policy - free and fair world trade. I agree that establishing unbiased business relations with the rest of the world is the easiest way to avoid war. It is also what we need to save the Dollar from imminent demise. I also agree with his stance on drugs and other social issues. It is not the place of the government to regulate morality.

However, if elected, he would also like to dissolve most all government institutions, including public education. I don't agree with him on these points. I think it is in the best interest of the nation to provide an education for all its citizens. In fact I think that the public education system should be expanded to incorporate at least some degree of post secondary education. I also favor national health care, which would never happen under a president like Ron Paul.

He has a lot of good ideas that cross party lines, which has gained him a lot of support. However, he is running on an extreme platform that would make him both a inappropriate and unlikely choice for president. He will not get the nomination, despite his popularity. And if he does, by some chance, we are sure to see a democrat in office. Ron Paul is great in theory but not electable, in my humble opinion.

I am in a similar situation. I am due to have my first baby, a little girl, on January 31st. I am terrified of giving birth, yet at the same time I am impatient and can't wait to have her. It is all quite overwhelming.

I just keep reassuring myself that childbirth is one of the most natural processes in the world and something that every other mammal on the planet has to go through. Yes, there can be complications, but the odds are in your favor that everything will be normal. And with modern medicine, there is very little that the hospital is not equipped to handle.

Sure! Let's impeach Chaney, as long as everyone recognizes that it would be purely symbolic.

So, we impeach the Vice-President and then the President gets to appoint a new one! Then we have even less say on who is in power in our "Democratic" system of government! WooHoo!

Here's a question: If Cheney is removed from office, who would Bush appoint to succeed him?

But, at this point in the term, who cares? What's the worst that could happen? We invade Iran?
