Perhaps religion is man-made but the Savior was brought forth from the Seed of the Woman. Man had nothing to do with this Christmas miracle. . .

Organisms are alive and can die. But the earth upon which they reside is no more living then the house is where I reside. There's a whole lot of life in my little bit of house and home but let's not be silly and grant my garage or basement appartment personhood. . .

No one looks at the Earth as a living organism that is dying from our exploitations and consumerism.

The earth is not a living organism and therefore it is not dying. . . The earth is an inanimate object.

Thanks so much for providing this link! I had never heard of Matt Maher but the song dovetails with what I was trying to get at. I've marked it my favorites to hear again and again. . . And Augustine - well he's the bomb! His story and experience match mine in more ways than one. I've missed hearing from you lately. . . . religion can be understood as a mode of understanding the world.

Then why is it given no sway? Why can't we discuss the Incarnation in the classroom? Why isn't creation ex nihilo explained right alongside the Big Bang?

Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
