The first show is complete and taped for you to listen to "On Demand." It was just wonderful! Six authors read from their books. We had a discussion on what it takes to get a boy to read. One author's book was on how to deal with a bully with Bully the Bull, get sound effects. The Little Pot was read and it reminded me so much of the tale of 3 trees that my daughter reads at Christmas. And on and on went a wonderful time of telling stories. Come and listen for yourself and tell me what your think.

Oh my Jeff, are you ever concerned. As a Hillary voter, I would like to know more about Obama's family and his influences, particularly his mother and father. Who shaped his formative years?

As a children's book writer, I should probably not be in any way involved in political statements. However, I feel compelled to help stop the abuse I have seen in the media this year toward women VP & Presidential candidates, especially in regard to Gov Palin’s family.

I have a granddaughter named Sarah. I don’t want her to see any more of this extremely unfair reporting on the news. Why would she or any other little girl want to dream of running for the top office of our land?

The Republican party states that they will not allow this media abuse to continue. Good for them! I am actively looking for ways to help them in their endeavors. I went to www.johnmccain.com and joined. Also, my husband and I are involved in drafting letters to send to advertisers on CNN to state our concerns. Personally we think CNN does the best job of covering elections; but I think that Jack Cafferty needs to be muzzled.

I think Gov Palin can handle the pressure. It is her family that I am concerned about. Now my Sarah has a great family background. When my cousin was a teenager, they told him to go out an make money, and he did. My husband's family has a relative that was nice enough to gather up cows into his pasture that he found in his neighbors pens.

Alright, I guess I better make sure Sarah doesn't want to become VP or President. LOL.

David, why would my granddaughter want to run for VP or President if these attacks continue on women running for those offices.

I agree with Linda G. The attacks on Gov Palin are much worse than on Senator Clinton which were awful. I am one of those that believe they literally stole the election from her.

Very good article.

I think this decision by McCain was in line with his Maverick side not an appeal to Hillary supporters who by the way included a large number of Republicans voting against Obama. If anything he was appealing to the West, gun owners, and reform minded Independents. He did show in his VP choice that he was more inclined to change than Obama did in his.

It amazes me how many negative, unacceptable comments are coming out in regard to Gov Palin and her family. The left wing must have real fear. I heard someone comment on TV that their job now was to destroy her.

My job now is to write advertisers on CNN and threaten to boycott their products if they continue to support the channel. My job now is to ask my friends to go to www.johnmccain.com and join. My job now is to volunteer to work for the Republican Party in whatever role they need.

You see, I cannot sit quietly; I have a granddaughter named Sarah. I want her to know that her grandmother worked to preserve her right to run for president some day, if she so choose.
