This is my dad too...so unbelievably touching and true Kat...my quote on my gather page is "love doesn't break with the right amount of care" very similiar story...
i would change one thing though Kat..i think there is a big typo there...I think it should be he took for "granted" not granite? unless I am missing somthing...and that is just what my thoughts are...you may have purposefully said it that way..it does seem to fit...his lack of love and the word granite?

thanks Lee...lol on the comments ;) when does anyone ever say anything not so nice here? If I dont care for something that someone writes, I either wont comment or I'll find something positive for me in it and say that.
I am an early bird gal..I get and need my 8 hours, but I am up usually at 5 am most days.

I love the line, "I have bargained for this chance with all that I am" I understand that perfectly...giving so completely of yourself...so honestly...this really touched me alot...

Kat..you got my meaning perfectly...I dont want anyone in my life that is full of empty promises..I won't do that again. It is a "show me" by your actions kind of post...dont lie to me..don't use me...I choose what I will allow and it wont be that.
I am kinda excited I got such great responses to this post..I should have spaced it a bit differently to get better impact, but you got it perfectly regardless.
