Yes it is KittyMom, Yes, people need to learn what Alzheimer's can do, but also what can be learned while caring for someone with it.

I just had to Tessa, It's a true story and Alzheimer's needs to be cured. It can't go on the way it is. It will bankrupt the country.

I guess I'm blowing my own horn, but I wanted to share this with you. I feel when you do something and you are proud of it, you 'should' share it with the people you've come to know. Thank you Mary Bradley McCauley, Marie, Elsie, Sharon, Alison, Julia, Barbara, and so many others who have believed in me. Thank you all and those I've missed.

Yes Elaine, it's very hard to care for someone with Alzheimer's as you know, working with them. Maybe you could give your sister some help so she dosen't burn out. And Yes, you need to take care of yourself or you can not take care of anyone else.

Yes, I know of your sister Sharon, and I'm so sorry. She pleaded with them to put her back in bed, and still they didn't listen. Oh that gets to me. The home that this article is on, is a wonderful home, because the woman who opened it took care of her mother, so she knows what is needed for the patients. The ratio of patients to aide is very small in this home, and you don't see that anywhere, at least I haven't, and that's what it's about.
I hope things are looking up for you, and know it will take a long time before you get over the loss of your sister. My thoughts are with you.

He looks happy, healthy, and eating right. I see a vanilla or butterscotch Sunday with carmel oozing down the sides.... oh boy, what I'd give for that.

Michael, you can swing a golf club to hit a 'hook' shot, usually not a good thing, and you can draw people into your writing with a first sentence hook, a good thing. And here I thought you were a golfer. :-)
