Thanks, Lee. I've been dealing with some depression (due to bipolar) this summer, and my computer is giving me a hard time. So I've taken a couple months off. Thanks for leaving your wonderful note!

That's great Elaine. You've touched on the spots I have questions about too! Both my daughter and I are slowly working our way reading through these proposals. So far, I haven't seen much "truthful and informative answers from our representatives."

Charter does that to us frequently. We have to call them up before the deadline and tell them exactly when we are going to pay them if we're going to be late, or they cut us off. I have two people in the house working on college online now, and we can't afford to lose our internet service. Fortunately, Charter is good about turning us back on within an hour or less.

We rarely ever get DVD's in the mail that are broken or damaged. I can't even remember the last one. I don't think it was received in the past 6 months. That might be a reflection more of the post office than of Netflix itself. The same goes with turn around time. We're pretty happy with the time it takes to get one off the queue after sending one in. That's one of the reasons, though, that we love the Instant Watch. No waiting. I have about 450 titles in my Instant Watch queue, which is plenty for all my family to enjoy. On top of that, 2-3 of us can watch different movies at the same time from different computers in different rooms. Overall, I'm really impressed.

We've rented from Netflix now for about 5 years. They are definitely worth it. They have enough variety to satisfy everyone in our family. Plus the Instant Watch is a great way to see instantly things you enjoy. In fact, this past Christmas we used Christmas money to get the Roku unit, so that we can watch things from our Instant Watch Queue anytime on a television. Lately, we've been watching that more than our cable tv. In these tough economic times we're even considering cancelling the cable in favor of watching more from the Netflix combination.

Another feature that Instant Watch/Roku has is the ability to rent from Amazon.com through the Roku unit. You can connect your Netflix account with your account from Amazon. If you see a new release you like, you can rent it for watching instantly on your tv. No need to go anywhere.

I agree that some of the DVD's we get in the mail do not work on our DVD player. But they always work on my son's or daughter's laptop. So I guess that means that our DVD player is behind in technology. I can watch most of the DVD's on my desktop, but occasionally that doesn't work. But when that happens, we can still see it on our DVD player.

So overall, I think a Netflix account is a really good deal.
