Hello. Great poem. I've read that memories are provoked by smells more than any other thing. I knew a woman many years ago who wore "Tabu". I've never forgotten that scent; I didn't like it then and I like it even less now. I have a perfume named "Pheromone" and it is quite delightful - so I'm told. Hope to see more of your poetry - or prose.

Part 1 = I resolved to get away for a quick trip with my husband to avoid stress that is consuming us by Jan C.

Then I guess I'm human. I notice when good things happen we call it synchronicity, and recognize it as such, but not when bad things happen. Perhaps I'm just noticing it more, but as I've grown older I'm amazed at these "happy accidents". I find it happens more often when I'm relaxed about my life and, as my husband would have said, "letting nature take its course". Perhaps we should pay closer attention to what is going on at the outer rim of our lives.
Interesting post; a topic that will have no end.

Sounds like a tremendous improvement, Rose. My neighbor has a daughter-in-law in the Devonshire Facility here on North Lake Blvd. and she is getting excellent care. Hopefully, they will all do better eventually.

Mistakes were made all around; however, we didn't start the war - the terriorist act on 9/11 started it all. If that had not happened we would all be in a better frame of mind.

Perhaps this will help. I communicate by e-mail with a mother of three children in Baghdad. Recently, her children were playing in the street, came running in saying a soldier in the street had told them to go inside. The mother went out on the balcony,looked down, and an American soldier loaded down with guns, told her to keep the children inside as there was a bomb in the street. She said her heart melted when she saw how young the soldier was and that some mother in America worried about her child's safety also. A few minutes later, the bomb went off and people were killed. I imagine that soldier yearned for home but felt pretty good that he had saved the lives of those children. They go to war in an attempt to keep that from happening in the USA. They care more about the safety of others than themselves.
