Sounds great! I'm glad you enjoyed your Pinot. I tried an Oregon Pinot for the first time last night. The one we tasted, I cannot remember which one, wasn't impressive; it had a strong iodine taste. So, I will keep trying them.

We are making ribeyes with a dry rub of salt, brown sugar, smoked paprika and garlic powder, similar to Anne Burrell's Dry Rubbed Rib Eye recipe on the Food Network. I am serving a 2003 St. Supery Cabernet. I am hoping the buttery tones of this wine will complement the steak nicely.

I really enjoy reading about your food and wine combinations. It encourages me to try new things. Happy Father's Day!

Hi everyone! Just stopping by... We had a photo shoot at the assisted living facility where my grandma resides, so we drove to the other side of Orlando and spent the night with my aunt. Got to play dominoes with Grandmom and eat some good food. It's a good thing we weren't home, there were tornado warnings and a few sightings around my neighborhood. It was sunny and beautiful where we were.

Melon sounds so good-and lite. Thanks! The perfect dessert.

I'd also like seconds on the veggie burger that we had for dinner-it tasted like a bean burrito-YUM! Unfortunately, it had 540 calories so I only got one minus the bun. Since I'm here, I'd like another please. (We tried Guy Fieri's veggie patty recipe on foodnetwork.com.) It was so good with a sliced tomato on top. Only 21 more pounds and I can eat normally again.
