According to my tax updates I receive every day, the rebate does not affect refunds at all. The rebate can be applied to taxes owed if the taxpayer chooses to do so. It would be very helpful if folks read all the information before making assumptions on what is to happen.

Harsh looking countryside. The road reminds me of the one time I went up Pike's Peak in a car. Never ever again. The road in the film wasn't quite so bad, so I think I could do that one...maybe. :)

I don't make resolutions or drink too much, so no worries there. I'm headed back to work tomorrow after a few days off and into 'tax season'. I have a chapter to go with my latest WIP and then polishing. I've got to start another story this year, keep up with podcasting and hopefully find my way to a writing conference somewhere. I have more coding to learn and implement, which I'm looking forward to. Should be fun!

Good article, Terri. It's hard for many writers to take a critique, but eventually they get to the point of understanding as more experienced writers/authors say the same things the writer has heard before. If not then, they'll "get it" when an editor or agent or a few of them reject the work and give comments.
