I haven't been on for a long time because of the last upgrades, and now I am just more confused. I really really don't like the mass email feeds thingy, because when cleaning out my 3500 messages I noticed that often, there were five or six of the same ones in my box-not cool. Also, I tried to post and it disappeared. Since I access from woek, I don't know how much I will be around because of the sheer time involved in finding things. We'll see, though. It has been interesting to read everyone's comments about it, though.

Yesterday was the first time I had been back in a really long time, and I wasn't at all impressed, but am hoping that if I stick around I will get used to it.

I liked how you put this; seems easy to understand for younger kids. However, I don't think that kids who are raised right really should have to worry too much about the actual wording of the 10 commandments. It would never occur to my kids to do some of the stuff, and i think it all boils down to teaching your kids right from wrong, and the rest automatically follows.

We already make the bananas, but the others sound good too. Our family favorite is bruschetta. Goat cheese (plain, not herbed), tapanade (olive paste), roasted red peppers and roasted garlic. We use thin-sliced French bread for the rounds, but any bread with a crunchy crust works. So does Boboli Pizza crust, though that isn't crunchy. The kids ask for this a couple of times a week, and it is fast and easy.

I think this is a "typical" viewpoint held by our elders, those who were taight that as long as you work hard enough, you will get ahead; the reality is far, far different, and is becoming a huge socail issue, more so now than at any time since The Depression. In my opinion, LOL.

I don't believe that this is a problem only for veterans, I really don't. There are millions and millions of "regular" people in this nation who have NO insurance, and I know if I get cancer, I will probably die without being treated AT ALL, not just poorly. I am not negating how important an issue htis is, not by any means, but it isn't just for a select few.

If I HAD to pick one, I would definitly have to say economic class; because as someone above said, if you have enough money, none of the other stuff really matters in the greater scheme of things. And Beth, if you truly believe that everyone is equal, I would suggest that you read the newspaper-or did you mean to say that everyone SHOULD be equal? If so, I totally agree wit htat, but the harsh reality is that we are not.
I think that we are all mroe alike than we are different, but too many things happen that create more and more dicision, and the chasm just gets wider and wider.

I don't do the mass email thing at all, and I hate it, but I really like the old Gather a lot better; I don't want to see all of the stuff I have to see, and I hate having to go in and change my settings every time I leave the site ans come back. It has frustrated me to the point of not spending an eighth of the amount of time in here!
