I will be starting shortly as soon as I get my notebook back from inside my car (my husband is grocery shopping to prepare for this month) and as soon as I finally settle on names for my characters.

Someone shared with me an Excel Worksheet to help you keep on track with your word counts for NaNoWriMo. If anyone wants it, let me know and I can email it to you. I haven't adjusted the year on it yet, but will today.
I thought I was as prepared as I wanted to be. I do not like planning too much because when I'm on a roll, I go with it. Last year I went places I didn't know I would go in any writing experience, and that was fun.
This year, I am stumped on character names! First day and I am stumped on stupid names. I know what they look like, and their religious beliefs, their jobs, what they smell like, how they talk, but I do not have names yet. Sheesh!

I want this in a button! My husband is planning to build us two kayaks in the next two years. We live right next to a great spot for kayaking, and when we go to Door County, we like to kayak too.

She got to say two things: the opening line "Live from New York its Saturday Night Live" and the closing line for their News. All the while, SNL continued to make fun of her as usual. she looked bit ridiculous.

This is a lovely idea.
I'd be interested to see your version written without forcing any specific form or rhyme.
i like this line:
"touched the fibers of each cell"

I like this poem for its clean simplicity.
That said, I am confused by this line:
"And head them over there for us to breathe"
and "hold our hearts on a key"

For whatever reason, the several times I read it, those two lines kept giving me a record scratch.

What I love is "Let's gather some roses

Smell them and blow our noses" and you ability to switch from the little visions to bigger themes, like causes, chances, does the media care...

Good job on finishing your horror book.
May I ask why you choose to self-publish?
After November, it would be a great time for me to read and edit your book. I am always better at editing other people's work than my own (especially before I post mine to Gather).

This starts out to heavy hearted and then ends in a lift of prayer, I can imagine her lifting her arms up and praising God with the sun beating on her pleading face.

I loved writing this first chapter. Now all the rest of the chapters I've tried to write sound so cheesy. I'll doctor them up and post them once I find them worthy.
