Hello Sue, these comment blocks are not the best place for that in depth of a discussion. Maybe I will write another article depicting my solution(s).

I get so tired of being ignored by my representatives.

While I can not speak for policy wonks or their associated bean counters, I have offered a real solution that would put the entire nation to work, even extending worldwide.
Unfortunately, it seems my emails all get deposited in the junk mail folder.

I wish my representatives, up to and including the president would just give me the time of day. If they did, just once I could resolve many of the problems we face as a nation.

My plan is based upon the private sector investing in the future and, not upon the Federal or State gov. except for perhaps providing seed money.
Until then, I guess anything I could contribute is mere opinion and conjecture.

And the individual is cowardly in that they can't even offer an explanation for their action but, rather do so by hiding in the shadows.

Do you believe this is based upon personalities or policies ?
News Reporting is different than commentary in regards to promoting or ridiculing the various "contenders" . When a media outlet reports on nefarious, underhanded and at time, illegal activity by a political party in power, that is NEWS. When a media outlet promotes falsehood, lies, innuendo's as a collective means of manipulating social policies in government, that is propaganda.
The Republican Party is adept at manipulating reality in the minds of the population through sheer audacity. They promote Fear-based strawmen arguments as a form of discrediting their opponents. If their arguments for a better direction were based on facts and a plan to actually resolve the problem being addressed, the news media surely would report that, NO?

The reason FOX news behavior is being addressed is due them being a political propaganda wing.
Winning power to control the social direction a nation embarks upon should be based on reality and facts, not fear and lies without a better plan of addressing the social issues needing addressing on our behalf.
Misleading the population as a means of controlling how people will live is not leadership. It is the duty of patriots to point this fact out.

This is the lighthouse that is supposedly haunted by the lighthouse keeper.

"Presque Isle - Old Presque Isle Light House - The true story involves an elderly couple who were caretakers of the lighthouse, and how the husband tried for years to get the light in the lighthouse working. Before he could get it to work, the husband died leaving his wife a widow. She almost moved out until the light started working. She then knew her husband was still there. And as the story goes, every night about ten o’clock the light works and then slowly dims. The husband finally makes the light work every night."

Seriously, you claim to be an educator and example for people to admire and follow yet, you come along and demean people with your every breadth?
I certainly feel for all your student, they must leave your class completely feeling rejected and dismayed they do not live up to your standards.

You know nothing about me or my life.
Because I write an article regarding the demise of an Industry which my town is dependent upon, you come to the conclusion I am "sadly trailing in the dust of dreamers and complainers" ?

Seems you are simply full of self-deception and delusions, wanting to brag that you are somehow better than the rest of us.

Where is the energy coming from that runs your computer?
Shouldn't you shut off your computer and stop polluting the planet?

I understand Clean Coal all too well, you don't need to lecture me.
It is a viable alternative and if you knew anything about our state and it's current needs both for employment and cheaper energy, you would apologize for your previous comments.

Tobacco is a far cry from Ships that transport goods.
As for these older ships which may pollute the air quality, I believe a system of replacement with upgraded ships would suffice. Simply shutting down an entire industry on a given timeline without any support at replacing these ships is ridiculous.
Tobacco use is terrible and even though I smoke, I would welcome the day when Tobacco is considered a Class I drug (equal legally to Industrial Hemp)

It is not as simple as refitting these old ships to burn a new fuel source, they must be replaced. Not giving the industry time to replace it's fleet will only cost jobs and bring strife to peoples lives.

Another point I find ludicrous is that the Federal Government is exempt from these regulations they are imposing upon the civilian fleet.
Mandate the same requirements on the same timetable for every Navy ship that enters our coastal waters and then we may find a compromise.

U.S. District Judge, George Bush appointed Clay Land, shut down a law suit introduced by a “birther” Orly Taitz.
Judge Land didn’t just throw out the lawsuit, he smashed it, as well as the Birther Movement, and threatened Otiz with sanctions if she keeps on introducing these kind of “frivolous” lawsuits.
