I use my face to openly say what I believe. No cute kids, icons, anime, animals or objects: I honor all of you in your opinions. And salute those whose faces are readily identifiable with their comment(s). Love, homosexuality and other words people don't want to accept as ok together = give it a ton of love. Love is love and marriage happens in tribes, states, churches, temples, civil courts, contracts, or just because. Marriage among gays, surrogate child bearing? Be loving, be tolerant, be generous. If you're lucky, you might find out how wonderful any friend, including an HIV-AID's positive friend can be: Brad, my friend, is an HIV-AIDs positive, LA. County Commissioner on HIV-AID's. He has had HIV-AID's for 20+ years. He's a young 42. Brad is open about being homosexual. And, I'm open about Brad being my friend. Brad is an amazing man. If you are wonderful, Il'd hope you each might have the good fortune to meet. But, if you're intolerant of a person such as Brad, do everyone a favor and stay away. Mean people might be better off "in the closet" to save us all a lot of pain. But, really, come on everyone, we have better things to do. No one should be stuck in the closet, we are all capable of loving each other. Yes? No?
I understand a "closet" is in many ways a prison, for worse or for better. The philosophical or other argument re: closet's and who belongs in there, or not, is NOT the subject of this address and large emission of love to people, gay or not, etc., or what?!

PS: I just located your "Early losses and temperament contribute to depression." Another god article. But, what I refer to is anguish, death, abuse, horror, death, grief, abandonment, etc., from even earlier - e.g. as early as the child can recall such as ages 1, 2, 3, etc.
Wars, slavery, sexual abuse, being alone, no protection, no food, etc. The "high brow" version of the same thing, as well as the war torn and "3rd world" sort and the "trailer trash," (not a fancy tailer), low educational opportunity, danger as well as the private school protege/prima donna... Aeliot It's important to me that children have as good a life as possible. Good for the kid, good for the economy, good for goodness sake, and good for the world. Just plain great if kids and people have better treatment, better lives. Aeliot

Thank you: good series of articles. What, if any work have you done on "life long" (my term) major depression, anxiety, fear, PTSD, all experienced in 1 person. This happens, I seem to find, where, for e.g., a child has experienced loss, abandonment, sexual or other abuse, and just about the time PTSD might be "fading" (if it does), boom, comes another "hit to the chin" and again and again....and again. This sort of experience happens to kids and on through growing up and adultness, with many people, around the globe. Pls reply. Important issue to many people & practitioners who don't know much about it: Aeliot

I have a french poster from about the 1920's or so. It reminded me of my mother - ultimately I bought it.

This image that you created, it's chicness, clean lines of the woman, evoke similar feelings to me. Thank you!
