I have that problem at times too Pat. That's why, as I think I've told you, I jump around so much while I write. I write each scene as it comes to me that way I don't lose something and I don't personally get bored since there is nothing to surprise me.

Kenna I'd be interested in knowing how it goes for you. Perhaps for a future blog here you'd let us know.

I have forgone the original post-it-notes for small sized notebooks. I keep my to do list on a page, my questions and timeline on one. It's much better than all the different pieces of paper. Unless I can't read my handwriting and I do have horrible handwriting.

A symphony is a good analogy, I always think closer to poetry.
I don't like trying to simplify my book into one or two sentences. No book should really be that simple. Now a teaser is fun to make.

I like things simple. I like simple words, simple sentences, and simple stories.
I don't do outlines. I didn't even like those in school when they made me do them. I do make a timeline when I'm far enough in a story where I need to know how much time I have left, or how much has gone by. Then on the back of that I add questions I haven't answered and additional scenes not written. Helps the organized side without having too much paperwork or hassle. At least until I lose the paper.

Oh yes. We have to manipulate to a point or it would be boring. We have to know just when to drop little hints for suspense. We have to know pull them in to be emotionally attached. And those twist can be fun. Perhaps Beth has it best there at skillfull writers manipulate you just don't know it.

I agree with Sheila, I asked my husband the other day if I was missing something when it came to the "Blow-your-brains-out" endings. The ones that are so sad and depressing you really want to not feel anymore.
Give me something that makes me happy or at least satisified that someone got what was coming to them.

Worst thing for me is know the end before I get there. Followed by the books I just can't finish because they are so horrible. I have one on my shelf that is my remind to not drone on and bore people to death. I gave up after 100 pages and it sits on the shelf with no want to pick it up and bore myself any longer.

I'm late, as always.
I have no problem being sadistic, I normally have someone dead in the first few pages, some else normally hurts with in the first chapter, and rarely do I go for the sappy ending vs pain.
People seem to love my characters too.
The one that is the problem is 8. There is a balance some where of enough info and keeping with suspense. That is the key we all strive for.

Opinion huh...There are days that it takes everything I have not to strangle my son... but then he sleeps. I don't understand giving away a child...but I'm not in their situation.
The law itself is probably a good thing. People already mentioned the horrible things that parents do to their children. At least it's a better outcomb.
It actually wouldn't surprise me if when they find the father, if they find him, that he didn't take his own life...better for the kids to be safe first.

Thank you all for coming by. I played some more and found a combo that worked...too bad I would have to use over 100 px for the font and don't have that much room. Back to the drawing board but still interested in any interesting fonts/effect anyone wants to pass my way.

Thank you Montanna. He's not actually reading it. Since it's romance and he's only 8 I'd have to remove a few pages. But he would love a few of the scenes.
It's the worst when he walks up behind me and I have to tell him whether or not he can read my screen. lol

Ty ty ty...Oh my picture. That's a funny story in itself.
I took my book and my camera next door to my photographer. She was too busy at the time to get the picture. And she stole my book. So until she gets a chance no picture. But I do have a very cute one of my son with it...yeah an 8 year old reading it. lol...yeah I'm posting it in a sec.
