I had never been a very scared person, but growing up I was always scared of the Fed Ex man (long story) and also of Helicopters (I still am- and I live near a military airport with helicopters flying in and out! Awful idea!)

But now, it seems I am afraid of everything. After having experienced always feeling safe and protected when my husband is home, it seems that whenever he is away from home, I am afraid of everything! I check my doors, windows, behind the shower curtain, every closet, under the bed and couch- EVERYWHERE! I turn totally paranoid. Haha!

I would have to say my favourite cartoon character of all time is Brian from Family Guy. I know it's not really a kids show, but I was never big into animated television as a kid.

Probably the best stocking stuffer I've ever had was a scarf- I had looked for the scarf at 4 or 5 different stores because I so wanted it- it was the perfect scarf (soft, the right colour, everything). Everywhere I went, it was sold out, and I was SO sad!
Christmas morning, it was in my stocking! :D

I may actually try that recipe for myself! (My little one is still waiting to arrive- I'm expecting my first child now).
While I haven't had a child that I helped introduce finger foods to, my mom worked in a daycare and I greatly remember the process of getting to finger foods.

We also combined purees and finger foods. For example, lunch was baby food puree, but snack was Cheerios (though, more got stuck on faces, clothing, and the high chair than made it into the mouth sometimes). The goal at first was to work on the motor skills of picking up small foods, like biter biscuits and graham crackers, and then focus on actually consuming them as food. The nice thing with Cheerios and Graham crackers is that they can be easily demonstrated... I take a bite of mine, now you take a bite of yours.

:: ducks from flying objects :: The Nazis. I don't support them. I think what they did was despicable and inhumane, and I hate what happened during World War II. THAT SAID, they made one of the biggest impacts on history of all time, and the truth of what happened is fascinating.
I'm surprised no one mentioned them before. I feel like so many people are quick to look at those who made heroic efforts to change history, rather than those who changed history with devastating results. I think it is when we look at those fascinating people who had a negative impact on history, it is then that we can learn from our mistakes in the past as a society of humans, as a group of people, all on the same level, and get past what has happened as a society.
That's why, as much opposition as I may face for listing the Nazis, particularly the World War II Nazis involved with Hitler, as the group of people who I find fascinating, that changed society.

There are two people in my life who love Spongebob more than anyone else: My 9 year old little brother, who is a huge fan of Spongebob, and who forced me to sit through 18 hours of the Spongebob Movie on repeat in the car on the way to a family vacation, and... my 26 year old husband! He's deployed to Afghanistan, and is a really tough Marine, and you'd think that he'd be.... as I said.... tough. But it turns out he's the biggest Spongebob fan I know! It's almost sad... haha.

I'm torn between two.

My first choice is naturally Tyler Durden. He's kind of an "ishy" choice as a "bad guy" because I don't see him as all-bad. Just because he does break a lot of laws, cause a lot of mayhem, and make a lot of messes, at the same time, he does it in order to awaken someone to the reality that matters.

My second choice would have to be Eli from Let the Right One In. She's also a little ishy as a choice, because a) she's a girl, b) she's only 12, and c) she's so... innocent. Kind of. But she's bloodsucking, killing, angry, and also perhaps frightened. She makes for a really interesting villain, especially because in some ways she can be construed as the good guy.

Mine came today- they are SUCH good quality. I scrapbook, so I actually used a layout I made of some photos from my husband and I's wedding, with a matching background... they turned out wonderfully!

The code applies to the 4x6 AND the 5x7 cards.

I've always been a little bit of a magazine addict, and I snag up a lot of free subscriptions. Usually I skim magazines for articles that interest me, and then pass them on to others I know are interested in the magazine. That said, there are a few magazines that I read from cover to cover- usually it takes me about a week for each of those, to get through the entire thing.
