Sadly I realize now that I must present a short lesson on economics in light of Isaiah's ludicrous observations.  Okay kids, gather around the teacher:

Inflation:  The true measure of purchasing power.  It reflects the cost of goods and services in an economy.  The lower the figure, the more purchasing power an individual has.  Thus, someone with a annual salary of $45,000.00 has a greater purchasing power than someone with a higher annual salary in a higher inflation economy.

GDP:  Gross Domestic Product.  Now this indicator shows us the total goods and services produced by a country annually.  In an expanding economy, more jobs are produced, in a contracting economy, jobs can suffer because less goods are being produced and sold.  Ideally, the Fed likes to hold this figure below three percent to prevent inflation.

Unemployment rate:  The figure produced showing the number of employed versus the amount of the workforce.  You can have a higher percentage of people employed with a higher unemployment rate, depending on the size of the workforce.  To put it even more simply, you can have a higher unemployment rate with more people actually working, depending on the size of the overall employment pool.

Now please, Issaih, do not make me come back here and correct you again.  Please for your own sake and for that of Lloyd, the proud democrat, quit while you are behind.

Gosh, I have to make another comment.  The misinformation spewed by Issaih, was incredible.  Fannie and Freddie had nothing to do with this crisis?  Are you kidding?  What the hell do you suppose the source was for the "questionable lending practices" --Oh the stupidity!

Hey Carla, you must feel silly praising Issaih, don't you?  To refresh your memory, a presidential term runs 4 years.  When a president is re-elected, the term runs another 4 years.  Your friend in his regurgitation of meaningless numbers, did not take into account that the term of George Bush actually went from 2000-2008.  No need to thank me for the facts.  I'm only here to help.

Oh and I forgot one more important point.  In 2001, we had an event called 9/11.  I don't expect the loon left to remember, we were proud Americans, not "proud democrats."  Anyway, under George Bush, the economy made a remarkable comeback considering the devastation that occurred.  Oh Issaih, do you have statistics for that?  [chuckle]

Issaih, what an ass you are (I assume you are democrat)!  Um, dear, President Bush's term actually went past 2004.  You left wing nuts really like to include only statistics that help prove your deluded points don't you.   Sweetie pie, in February of 2007, unemployment reached an historical low of 4.4 percent.  Dearest, you must take into account in your statistical regurgitation, the amount of the available workforce as well, otherwise if we go back to 1948, unemployment rates were way lower.

As far as standard of living, I am sure you crunched the figures of GDP versus inflation in your mathematical calculations of the standard of living statistics?  No?   Oh God, the stupidity and bigotry of left is really on display here in this thread.  Thank you Lloyd "proud democrat" for endorsing the view point of this jerk, Issiah--What a complete MORON!

Isaiah, just what are the dems cleaning up?  The first seven years of the Bush presidency saw the greatest prosperity our country has ever seen.  At one point, unemployment was at its lowest point ever.  If it wasn't for derelicts buying homes they knew they couldn't afford, we would still be on the right track and President McCain would be in the White House.

Do a little research, look at who the dem congress wanted to give mortgages to.  Look at Barney Frank not wanting restrictions on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.  You want the truth?  To paraphrase a movie line: "you can't handle the truth"!

Carla, the republicans just aren't into quotas.  George Bush appointed the first female and minority as Secretary of State, not to check off the affirmative action box, but because Condolezza Rice was his friend.  Bush also appointed minorities as Secretary of Education and Attorney General.  So please, don't talk to me about the cosmetics of the dem party.

Lloyd's response to your comment was frightening.  I wonder what dear Lloyd would say if Michael Steele's mother was white, like Obama's.  I can just imagine.
