More Propaganda. Why would one want to start out the New Year that way?

Those skeptical of The climate change "cap-and-trade" broken record might just fail to have full and simultaneous confidence in ALL of the following:
1-Global Warming is occurring.
2-It is primarily human caused.
3-Human action can actually accomplish a reduction in this trend and that these favorable impacts can be achieved without all major nations adopting essentially a third world economic system.
4- All major nations will participate.
5-It needs to be addressed immediately rather than over several generations.
6-The recent admissions from the church of global warming about their lost data, refusal to release data, tweaked data and models, their willingness to corrupt the peer-review process are ALL non-issues.
7- The mechanisms of adopting CO2 reductions are NOT simply a wealth transfer scheme for political purposes conveniently clothed in an environmental issue.

The Al-Gores of the world (and their many drones) "deny" EVERY one of these issues has any substance.

Those skeptical of the conclusions of modern Darwinists might just fail to have full and simultaneous confidence in ALL of the following:
1-All that there is just happened due to the laws of physics and chemistry in a totally unguided and random process without any intelligent intervention.
2-The numerous physical and chemical constants which are found to be precisely tuned such that virtually any change in any of them would have resulted in a universe incapable of planet formation much less the support of complex life just occurred that way.
3-The incredibly complex computer code of life found in the DNA of even the simplest single-celled life somehow 'ordered' itself (even and somehow before there was any 'life' upon which any 'natural selection' could act).
4-The sophistication of cellular protein machinery which our modern understanding tells us is far beyond the explanatory capabilities of chance STILL somehow happened.
5-The belief in multiple universes held by the Darwinists in order to provide sufficient probabilistic resources (and that we won the lottery and are in the 'right' universe where everything just worked out for us) is a reasonable conclusion even though it is baseless scientifically.
The Darwinists DENY any and all problems with ALL these positions.

Who are the "real" Deniers?

that the "consent of the governed" was given to this congress and to this president back in November of 08'

So by your badly flawed thinking that the Constitution means whatever, it would be quite all right (based on election results) for the healthcare plan to be modified be the Dems to simply withhold health care from republicans. Saves money and serves other goals as well. Where is that prohibited in your loopy world?

Repeated statements of the health care problem do NOT lead to a specific solution nor demonstrate a basis for selecting one solution over another. It's simply emotion, useful only for cranking up the "crisis" machine the liberals love and for reinforcing the façade that they "care". Emotion is not the skill required to actually contemplate and devise (in an open and accountable fashion) a wise, effective, and bipartisan reform to rising health care costs but when it's all you got.....I guess you have to use it.

Like everything else, your impression of the meaning of General Welfare is simply wrong.

Also even if it were right (briefly for the sake of argument) such reasoning would also say the government could provide or mandate most anything else it thought promoted the 'general welfare' like a national car program (with purchases possibly and conveniently required through GM - Government Motors) and maybe a national housing program. Here is the point and the problem with that. Important that you catch this now. Such thinking effectively strips the Constitution of any ability to restrain the Federal government at all which was a fundamental reason for it's construction and our Federal form of government. Ever heard of enumerated powers? If Congress is free to do whatever the heck it wants then why even have a Constitution?

More two-wrongs-make-a-right arguments and some good-ole Bush bashing for good measure. Not relevant.

Nobody said we should do nothing, just that we shouldn't throw out our children "literally" with the bath water by burdening them with a politically motivated health care bill they can never pay and another entitlement program that will grow massively and inefficiently.

Throwing rocks at another Republican out of office for 8 years. Also not relevant.

This is not about tea-parties, retired republican politicians, the Iraq war, or any of the other distractions that you continually throw up. It is about what this Congress is trying to do right now, without reason, basis or consent. But like I said, you (nor any of your other fellow Statists) can't and won't actually talk about or defend that, because it is indefensible.

Go read "Liberty and Tyranny" and "5000 Year Leap" to learn about conservative American values.

What's the rush? It took Obama 8 months just to nominate someone. The acting head Gale Rossides helped organize TSA originally. I'd say she's pretty familiar with where the bathrooms are there.

You are soooo funny BUT, as predicted, the fact remains that you have provided zero defense for the two indefensible and byzantine health care bills which Reid and Pelosi purchased with taxpayer monies. Maybe you should talk to someone about that.

How about this? Would you rather pay more (say $100) for a flight that used aggressive threat profiling (and therefore had pretty quick lines) or less for the current system with shoe removal, frequent patdowns, total liquids inventory, 3-hr early arrival), and whatever else they will now come up with thanks to the underwear bomber (and resulting long lines)? I bet many would choose option #1 - I would.

You left out Homeland Security Queen Janet Incompentano saying the "system worked" in stopping the underwear bomber (which part of 'he got on the plane and detonated it' doesn't she understand), President Obama saying that unemployment wouldn't exceed 8% if only we would pass his Government stimulus plan (maybe he was talking about DC government unemployment....that makes sense), and virtually everything said by those continuous conveyors of fiction Reid and Pelosi.

The corrupt practices you are trying to combat will not likely be tethered by campaign-finance reform as money will always find a way into the system as long as there is something/someone to buy. Likewise term limits might even make things worse as a politician would want to make their mark quickly (vs over 10-20 years). I think the best remedy is to embrace again a stricter adherence to Constitutional limitations on Congressional power and trying to treat constituents and states the same. All special interests exist because Congress creates special interests. Presently the Congress can basically choose any winners and losers that they want by using the tax code, earmarks, and narrowly aimed bits of regulation of any sort. Who among us would/ could withstand the corrupting influence of that immense 'capability and power'? Campaign Finance laws won't change that at all.
We must reduce the number of objects the federal government is allowed to control, and spread the rest out among the states and locals (as it was intended by the Founder's). Only then can corruption be reduced and diffused.

Let's see. Throwing rocks at a Republican Senator who has been out of public life for 8 years is a really good defense of health care. You forgot to mention that President Obama admitted to bribing the Pharmaceutical companies, Senator's Landrieu admitted to a $300 Million bribe, and Nelson got his state relieved of Medicaid costs in perpetuity. All boy-scout stuff there. Then you try to use "Madoff accounting" to falsely propagandise that heath care is somehow budget neutral which really isn't a smart plan. People go to jail for that sorta stuff. Then to top it off you pull out the old "two-wrongs-make-a right" argument just as I predicted. Sad really. You got nothing - no defense, no Constitutional arguments, no appeal to public sentiment (which opposes this kaka health care charade), you got zip. Except for the coercive hand of government against the liberties and sensibilities of the people. Are you proud of that? Peloisi, Reid and Obama apparently are. Have a nice day, comrade.

Nice bit of hot air but as I said in the article you are not defending this health care legislation with respect to it's contents, process, or historical perspective.
Don't think you're alone in that, nobody else on the Democratic side can either.

The "consent of the governed" will not be given for single-payer. Get that out of your head. It won't happen except by the hand of tyranny (which apparently is viewed as an acceptable path by Pelosi/Reid/Obama and many of their supporters).

That's like saying ," C'mon everybody, get in this lifeboat. I know that it is leaky and rusty and the engine may not work but we'll just stay in it and sail around the seas until we can get a chance to fix it later."

You ignore the very real possibility that your lifeboat sinks putting everyone in it at peril (just like this badly flawed health care plan will sink the country).

Why is it that the biggest piece of legislation ever considered by Congress must also be the most chaotic, unprincipled, and partisan?
