What I think is odd about this is that the judge feels it is necessary to force the tattoo coverup on this idiot out of concern that his stupidity would bias the jurors.

This whole situation is wierd and it seems he is on a slippery slope.

Does this judge have pretty women dress down for court to keep jurors from being biased against them? Perhaps he asks blondes to dye their hair? African-Americans to lighten skin-tone with makeup if the jury is too white? Maybe mean fat-cat banker types are asked not to wear Armani or Rolex?

I've noticed on facebook that the same picture of this hairy guy shows up as part of an ad for refinancing. It reads something like: "Obama asks 5-8 million homeowners to refinance, but only 85,000 have."

Obviously this guy isn't Obama anymore than he is a mother.

Funny, but the rest of the world seems to think that global warming IS fixable by only one country. If America will only stop polluting so much and let its economy grind to a halt, while signing onto "treaties" that transfer billions of US dollars to poorer nations in a global, socialistic raping of the rich nation(s) by the jealous underdeveloped ones, global warming would MAGICALLY go away. Oh Goody!!!

Sounds like a win-win. The Copenhagen conference went to hell in a handbasket, achieving (hopefully) next to nothing, and our glorious leader came off looking like a doofus or a dog with its tail between its legs.

This was wonderful. It reminded me of the wonder of snow I had as a child. As for your request for critique, I think you stuck the verb tenses well - I had no issues with that. The only thing that even felt a bit out of sync were the snippets of memory of the reason for the trip through the snow, but I think that was intended by you and it worked well to show the child's lack of knowledge of the adult world that caused her trek in the snow that day.

Just reread it. I love it.

Would you believe this is the last bush of a set of "hedge" roses that I bought 20 years ago from a flower catalog? The ad said that these would grow into a privacy hedge. Never quite got that kind of growth from them, but this bush will bloom until October/November!

Sorry, Georgiana, Marianne is right on this one, azaleas. These are about the last of the blooms on them for the year. It will be time to prune them in another week or two.
