The thing you have to know about the baobob tree is- they lose their leaves and look like they are dying- leave them alone and they come back in spring- little by little they continue.

Thank you for your comments. It is true that I write my journals mostly for myself, but it is always interesting to see that others enjoyed my contributions. Editing and time and familiarity to software makes me keenly aware of errors- So although I do try to correct obvious mistakes- I present it in this form, because in a life so precarious -no one knows if there will be the next moment of now- so I get it out there and sometimes ,time permitting I have the opportunity to go back and add to or edit my journals- a run on sentence, yet you get my point? Welcome to my world.

The Gambia! Nanga Def- The monkey bread is emoillent and has a soothing effect on digestion and is very nourishing- the mats woven from stripping the trunk makes ropes and dinner matts. Added to milk and or ice cream make a wonderful shake.
They grow throughout Africa, Madigascar, and even Austrailia.
Glad you enjoyed my bit of trivia from my journeys.
