I've never heard of Pogo Kelly, and certainly this is a uniquely expressed poem. But, the rustic flavor is genuine and consistent; I liked it.

My Dear, it is a given that I already do that in my heart; I'm going to definitely try to do it as well in direct contact.

There is a reward for those people with good hearts and spirits. The problem is that, all too often, these cherished people do not make a demand on what is due them. So then, I would say to you, urge you (encourage you), to make a demand on what you're rightfully entitled to. You already have the talent; so then, trust/believe in your ability to do what you want to do. You will soar through the heavens with that knowledge and determination; it's already yours.

(You're not allergic to spiders, are you? If so, I would definitely consult with a doctor on the bite, even if I already knew the remedies.)

. . .his first trip back to the Bay Area since the Inauguration. It's one of the disadvantages to us Bay Areans -- not seeing him here as often since he became President. He has talked about how much he loves it here though, and the frequency of his visits (not so long ago) speaks to that!!!

I doubt things have gotten better. Societies rarely change. What I mean is that this country -- in its infancy -- was born with a problem; that problem was racial hatred. Jefferson, Franklin, and the Northern Framers should have nipped the problem in the bud back then, but they failed to do it. The result was that racial hatred became the legacy of the United States, and definitely a large portion of the foundation on which this country was established.

There are those who falsely believe that things have changed. What has changed is that there is now more legislation making certain hateful activities unlawful -- "hate crimes" -- but at some point these people may come to see that you cannot legislate bigotry; it is an emotion. What has really happened is that the feelings of bigotry, and hatred have not dissipated, but rather, they have gone underground, but they are still there.

Look at the situation with President Obama. What is the discussion which occurs in my circles when only African Americans are present? We all agree that the reason for MOST of the objections of the President have NOTHING to do with his policies, and/or his politics. We see it, as we have seen it, and more importantly, LIVED ITall of our lives. The objections are based on racial bigotry. Sure, we are constantly hearing people say this isn't the case, but we are NOT FOOLS, or IDIOTS. We get it.

Were Obama White, he would be lauded and praised as one of the most brilliant men of this generation. Take a look at the rest of the world, and consider how THEY see him. The difference is that so many other countries have not had the taint of colonialism and racial bigotry, as has the U.S. where the Black man and woman is concerned.

In short Landen, your fears are very well-founded.

I don't know Ape, but I wouldn't want it changed. I looked forward to the cessation of that deduction. You look at your pay stub, seeing all these deductions, and more importantly, the amount of the deductions, and you wanted to cry. Social security was the only one that gave us a break (like you said), around July, and oooooh, it was a welcome break.

Look at it this way: the rich shall probably never pay equitably, for somehow, and via some means and/or in some way, they shall have loopholes available to them for the very purpose of avoiding paying more.
