Thanks for your comments jennifer, J.C., and Christine. I believe the guide said the north dome will be completely cleaned by the end of July, so if you have a chance, go take a look.

Also, if you're interested in botanical paintings, there is a book available on the plant portraits called Plant Portraits: The California Legacy of A. R. Valentien, which illustrates hundreds of paintings.
